Vehicle Detail
RARE RARE RARE where are you going to find another one!!!!!!!!!!!. 1969 Greenwood GT430 race car bodied. Sorry dont have log books or know much history, the car has the Greenwood GT 430 body complete with roll bar, but fuel cell removed. I do not think it was a car John Greenwood actually raced himself but more likely a customer made car by Greenwood. Car has Original Hooker Big Block headers and by all appearance/equipment was a factory 427 car. L88 possible but again unknown. Heres an interesting fact, trim tag under the dash says paint code was 000, which means it left the factory unpainted in primer. The car looks like the 1975 Greenwood race car "Spirit of Sebring" which was listed for $695,000 and sold in 2013. I was told by the seller he recently sold another Greenwood car at Barrett Jackson this year for $1,000,000. Car is in pretty good shape for its age, but needs full restoration, there is some race damage to the hood and the rear quarter panel. Unfortunately, there is no enginer or trans will the car but it rolls.Has traditional gas tank and I am sure it was not race after the 70;s due to rule changes so someone converted it to street use after this time. I have a original Iowa Title I recieved from the gentleman who sold me the car. Frame has surface rust only, tires need replacement. Car is as I bought it. Car has Megapower Racing decals and was part of there program, unfortunately they seems to be out of business now. So do your research and maybe go vintage racing or put it back on the street, you wont find another one very easily. Resonable reserve on the car and in fairness to bidders I will let the auction run it course and I wont disclose the reserve amount. I would seriously like to see the car restored as its a rare piece of history. I no longer have the time to do it so its up for sale.
