ONLY 645 TURBOCHARGED 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Convertibles were produced. This piece of perfection has underwent a MUSEUM QUALITY restoration. The FRAME OFF NUT AND BOLT RESTORATION was completed in 2004 to exact factory specifications. The ORIGINAL 180 horsepower turbocharged engine runs perfectly. The ORIGINAL 4 SPEED transmission performs exactly as it should. All mechanical and cosmetic components of this vehicle were rebuilt/reconditioned or replaced with correct parts in order to make this Corvair capable of being judged at the highest level. The restoration of this vehicle is detailed with an album of over 100 pictures during every phase. EVERY SINGLE PART OF THIS CAR WAS TAKEN APART. No expense was spared during the restoration. The exterior is finished in the correct Regal Red and shows flawlessly. The trim and chrome are show quality. The interior is finished in the correct White vinyl with a white top. The interior shows perfectly. There are no rips, tears, worn areas, or scuffs. The top and window glass are perfect.
