This truck is a serious beast. It is a beautifully designed piece of machinery. It will need some work to get it into hauling condition, but for anyone who wants or needs one, the most important part, THE ENGINE, is strong as an ox. We have absolutely zero use for it, and we aren't going to have any use for it in the near future. We have been holding on to it for nostalgia value, but those days are over. It is a SUPER HEAVY DUTY commercial quality truck, with all the classic appeal of Chevy AND the '50's right there. It came with a property that was purchased by my dad a few years ago. It had it worked on 1 year ago, and after the work was done I started it up and drove it. ***The truck currently runs great. The transmission is great. The frame is great. The only thing that is bad is the wood part of the bed, as the wood may be the original wood. Here are the strong selling points: -The engine is good and strong. Ready to rumble!!! - The transmission is solid and works, and uses a splitter. - The gas tank was replaced 1 year ago. - The gas lines were fixed 1 year ago. -Tires are good and hold air. -The steering is good. Here is the fine print: -I don't have a pink slip on the vehicle. This is an easily fixable problem. All you must do is file an application for duplicate registration with the DMV, and you'll get your title. If you need to, you can claim that it's yours and you lost the papers, or that it was given to you and no papers came. -The brakes are excellent -they were worked on a year ago and were bled, adjusted, and the lines were fixed. However, there is no fluid in the brakes, and that leads me to assume that there is a new leak in the line. The pedal goes straight to the floor when I press it. That, also, is relatively a very easy and quite inexpensive fix. Fix the leak, and you're ready to roll. -The wood in the bed of the truck is the weakest link right now. It needs to be replaced, as I believe it is the original wood. I've seen them re-done before, and all you need to do is take it to someone that knows how to do a job like this. -The truck is dirty and will need to be thoroughly cleaned inside and out. -The mileage I have listed above is NOT CORRECT, obviously. I do not know the exact mileage, because I doubt the odometer is accurate. It is an old truck, so it likely has reasonably high miles. But these things are tanks and can run forever. That is the story. I am not offering any type of inspection on the truck, since I live too far away to meet you at the property. I have disclosed EVERY single bit of information that I have on the truck, and I am selling it as is. Once you take it off the property, the sale is final. IMPORTANT: I suggest you bring a hauler to take the truck away. It can be driven right up onto a hauler. Because the truck is not registered, and because the bed isn't as solid as it should be, it is not safe for the road. It will have to be either towed with a tow-truck, or you'll have to use a car hauler. Or if you have another safe and reliable method, that would be okay too. The truck must be picked up within one (1) week of the auction ending or the date of the "Buy It Now" purchase. A deposit 0f $500.00 is due within 48 hours of the auction ending or the date of the "Buy It Now" purchase. The full payment is due within three (3) days.
