Up for bids is a 1987 white Volkswagon Westfalia Vanagon GL. 4 cylinder, 2.1L manual transmission. This bus was bought new, always garage kept, and has had only one owner. Bus has not been driven since November 2009 due to a death in the family. Since I received this vehicle a few months ago all belts and hoses have been replaced. Oil/plugs/cap/rotor & filter have been changed. Alternator and new AMC battery installed. Power steering pump changed. Due to an intermittent overheating issue, we replaced the oil cooler, thermostat/water pump/water pump cooler. Radiator and lines have been flushed and most of them replaced. Bus starts right up on first try and runs smooth. The clutch is very strong and shifts smooth- no slips. Scratch on left drivers side panel. The tent has no tears and has been patched as needed. Bus comes with all the original camping material including uppercut bug screen, curtains, sink/stove/refrig/icebox which were all in working order during last use. Rear left bumper with a dent from parking lot accident (see pics). Some small tears in back seat cover. Missing rear left hub cap. Van is being sold AS IS. It will need a full inspection prior to any long distance driving to assess for any issues that we are not aware of. It must either be towed or shipped to you- buyer responsible for making delivery or towing pick up arrangements. Includes original folder of all paperwork from purchase as well as receipts from every single time the bus had any maintenance or inspections. This van sold on Ebay for $15,300 in May 2014 but the buyer was a no show on the day of pickup.
