Vehicle Detail

The Honda NX250 was produced from 1988 to 1990 for the US market and was available in Japan after that. It is designed to look like an African Twin. Engine is a liquid-cooled, 249 cc, single-cylinder, four-valve, DOHC, four-stroke with an electric start. Bore and stroke of 70.0 mm × 64.8 mm (2.76 in × 2.55 in), 11 to 1 compression ratio, and a six-speed transmission. The suspension is 37 mm (1.5 in) forks with 8.7 inches travel up front, and Pro-Link with 7.9" in the rear. The NX250 has a 1,350 mm (53 in) wheelbase and a dry weight of 118 kg (260 lb). The seat height was 820 mm (32 in). You may also see the bike called an AX1 if you doing any travel overseas. Anyways, I have owned this bike for about 8 years now and I am moving across the country in less than one month, prompting me to sell everything I own. If it wasn't for that I would not be letting this bike go. It has less than 6k miles on it. I have ridden it off road about 50% of the time, and thus have broken the rear turnsignals, right hand mirror, caused a small crack in the fairing on the left, and I think I may have slightly bent the handle bars as well. I just got it back from the Honda dealer today, where I had them look over everything. They rebuilt the carb, replaced the fuel line and filter. They put in a new battery. The only other thing they mentioned on their inspection was : front brake light switch is stuck on (they just unplugged it for me), and they recommended adjust and possible replacement of the chain. (I did not have this done). bad stuff To sum up things that are not perfect with this bike: turn signals do not work and the rear ones are bent/broken, chain will need adjustment and possible replacement soon, there is a small crack in the fairing, there are some bolts missing from the fairings (but is stable at highway speed). R handle grip is slightly higher than the left(I think I may have bent them at some point) but it still rides fine. No R sided mirror. good stuff runs great, newer dunlop high quality dual sport tires like new, battery replaced this week. carb rebuilt this week professionally at honda dealer with all OEM honda gaskets and seals. I get between 70-90 mpg. Will do 80+MPH on the highway. really unique look, I get questions about it all the time. No reserve The bike is in my friend's garage in Columbus Ohio. He is holding it for me until it sells. I moved to New Orleans for work. I have a clear title in my name.
