Vehicle Detail
Up for auction consideration is my 1970 Chevrolet Suburban. This is a 3 door model C10 Suburban. It has 2 Barn door style doors in the back. I purchased this truck about a year ago and have slowly been doing a little work here and there on it. It is a running, driving, stopping, project truck with a 350 V8, automatic trans, power steering and brakes. This truck does have some rust in places so don't expect it to be perfect but I will be as descriptive as possible. It is a good running truck with no abnormal motor noise. It starts every time via a new starter and battery. This truck was a Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Vehicle in the mid 70's and is still in somewhat original paint, lettering and handicap symbol on both doors. The "Patina", for lack of a better word, would be perfect with some satin clear over it. I have installed within the last 3 months new fuel tank from LMC, fuel lines, sending unit, vacuum lines, fuel filler neck hose, etc.etc. The Gas gauge on the instrument cluster works. I upgraded the dash cluster to accommodate more gauges (later model 1972). 2 later Model Chevrolet Truck front bucket seats were installed and a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban Seat with armrest and drink holders in the back. The interior is pretty much gutted but all there.I had the original 6 lug wheels sandblasted and powder coated bright white with new chrome short neck valve stems, I have Beltech 2 1/2 inch lowering springs for the front of this truck, not installed. I have new rear quarter panels for it (1 installed). All the door gaps appear to be pretty straight. The windows roll up and down with ease, don't leak horribly( 2 very minor spots, original seals) and have a light tint on them. The floors need very little attention and rear quarters, too, but once again----potential. The truck is equipped with a back up beeper/siren. I have an Edelbrock Performer series intake (just blasted and coated excellent shape) and Carb to go with it, not installed, extra to what is on it.This truck has a ton of potential would like to see someone show it some love. I was going to build a lowered shop truck, but plans have since changed. Deposit of $2000.00 is due within 24 hours of auction end, Paypal Only. This truck is sold as is, No warranty or return. Buyer will be responsible for arranging and setting up shipping from my zip code of 32803. I can store this truck for 30 days or until shipping arrangements are made. Please feel free to ask any questions before bidding. Thanks again for looking. Please ask any and all questions, I will try and get back to you as soon as possible. ******************SELLER NOTE*****6/29*********************************** I have had a bunch of inquiries on the condition of this truck but have had a demanding work schedule this week and weekend. My apologies to all I have not gotten back to. I am slowly trying to add pictures but am willing to text or email pics tomorrow if my work schedule allows. A few things that do need attention are the lower rear quarter panels. I started installing the passenger side but did not get around to finishing it. This will need some finish welding and bodywork, or not, depending on your look. Both lower rear quarters were purchased new from LMC. You will need to install the driver side. I took a few pics of the front Belltech Springs. These are 2 1/2 inch lower. The small interior rear wall behind the rear seat on the passenger side wall need attention, but the rear passenger floor is SOLID. A simple 5 inch strip of new patch metal should cover it unless you are doing a full restoration. The door lowers could use replaced on passenger side (see added pics). I also have a rear bumper (OEM) in rough chrome but is straight and totally usable in my opinion. I didn't see that in the pics either, my fault. I will also be including 2 steering wheels, 2 dash consoles, Interior sun visors, and any other parts I have forgotten about or haven't listed. This truck is not perfect. It is a solid running project. It does need a little work here and there but I can promise you this truck is a deal at my asking price.
