First available on Saturday June 28, 1947, these trucks were sold with various minor changes over the years until March 25, 1955, when the Task Force Series trucks replaced the aging Advance Design model.The same basic design family was used for all of its trucks including the Suburban,panel trucks. and, Cab Overs. The cab overs used the same cab and similar grill but used a shorter and taller hood and different fenders.From 1947 until 1955, Chevrolet trucks were number one in sales in the United States.While GMC used this front end, and to a slightly lesser extent the cab, on all of its trucks except for the Cab Overs, there are three main sizes of this truck: the half-, three-quarter-, and full ton capacities in short and long wheelbase.Styling Legacy: The styling for the Advance Design trucks was the inspiration for both the Chevrolet SSR and the Chevrolet HHR.VIEW****Detailed Slide Show(Over 100 photos)**** The engine is a 350 LT1 from a 1995 Z28 camaro w/ about 100k miles on it. Transmission is an automatic 4 speed 4l60e with less than 10k miles on a rebuild. Title in handBody: Really good shape. New cab corners and door bottoms. It still needs work!!! Fenders and hood are pretty solid. New oak bed wood kit included. All stainless fastener kit included. All new glass and rubber/ weatherstripping too. New door handles and latches. Left door is stuck closed b/c these latches are notorious for sticking! Rebuilt door hinges. Bed walls look like old bed walls and the front one needs replaced. Bumpers are in solid condition but painted and the running boards have diamond plate over rusted areas. Bumper, running board and bed mounts need to be fabricated up to the frame. The cab and front end mounts are done and solid. Cab bottom and frame coated in POR15. No seats. All the accessories for the engine including a labeled original wiring harness and PCU are there. A/C delete pulley included as well. Stock f-body exhaust manifolds and another fuel rail comes with it (hi temp exhaust manifold paint from Eastwood included) Wiring and steering column from the z28 included (keys too so no VATS). Drive shaft and rear end (3.73 posi) available with the truck. Fuse block and most of the chassis wiring from the Z28 in tact. Brake booster from the Z28 included (pedal needs to be welded for correct angle). BRAND NEW THU-KOOL Radiator (Never used) included. Aluminum fuel cell and summit high pressure electric fuel pump that will fit under the bed included. Polyurethane bushings and new ball joints on the front end. Frame is from 1995 S10 - S10 frame swap on these trucks is very popular.
