Vehicle Detail

We are selling my father-in-laws sweet Nash Ambassador. It needs some body work, door trim etc., but overall this car could be driven daily as is. The mileage on the odometer is 24995 but it does not work at this point and probably hasn't for some time. The car was purchased two years ago and garaged. We don't know how often it was driven but his desire was to have it restored to perfect condition. This dream could now be yours. I was able to start it last weekend and it idles perfect and the cooling fan comes on automatically. I added some gas as the gas gauge does not work along with some octane booster and this car really moves. No visible fluid leaks of any kind under the car. We drove it to the local burger joint in Everett and got a lot of looks along the way. The hood latch cable is missing, but a new one was in the trunk. The interior is clean and it's just a fun car to drive. I noticed it didn't have any blinkers, so I used the old hand signals. The car shines very well for being so old. The car is missing the rear bumper, but the parts car, which is in Marysville covered in a storage yard, may have one on it. We really want both cars to go at the same time if at all possible. I have not seen the parts car in person but do have a few pics if you want to see it. My father-in-law bought it off Ebay just two years ago. The guy who bought it did a build on it and that ad language is posted below: This is a nice 1947 Nash new build. I bought it from the Harold LeMay family auction without a engine or transmission. I put a rebuilt 1989 HO 302 roller camshaft engine with ported heads and an Edelbrock RPM intake manifold. It has new electronic distributor, new coil, spark plugs, plug wires, water pump, aluminum radiator, electric cooling fan, electric fuel pump, radiator hoses, and a rebuilt Edelbrock 650cfm electric choke carburetor. The alternator is a new 100 amp 1 wire alternator. It is 12 volt. All the lights have been changed over to 12 volts; the wiring in the car has been changed over to the 12 volt system. The brakes have new hard lines, new brake hoses, wheel cylinders, newly relined brake shoes and new master cylinder. All four tires are new. The car has new 2 inch dual exhaust with mufflers and 1968 Mustang exhaust manifolds. The transmission is a Ford AOD (automatic overdrive) fully rebuilt with a Lokar shifter and a Lokar TV cable with a new driveshaft, U-joints and slip yoke. Headlights, park lights, tail lights and brake lights along with the windshield wipers are all in working order. All floor boards front and rear, and rockers are in excellent shape (nearly rust free). Only rust found in the car is in the rear roll pan. Has new carpet and sound deadening, but the rest of the interior is still completely stock . The Nash title is free and clear and the car comes with an additional 1947 4 door Super Nash in case you wanted to go back to the original manual transmission and original motor or if you need parts. I drive this car daily, the motor runs smooth, the brakes work well and its easy to steer for not having power steering. If you want more pics or either the Nash for sale or the parts car, please let me know.
