I have a collection of Trans Ams and have decided to list this one to see what happens. I believe this is a great car to restore. I think all the metal is original to the car except the passanger quarter panel. The trunk lid should be replaced as well but I will throw in a good one if the cars bids up to my reserve. There are a few spots or bubbles here and there but nothing major. There is one size of a golf ball spot on the lower front passanger quarter. The trunk, frame and floors I think look great. I see no rust anywhere on them. The interior to me is in very nice shape as well. I have a new headliner that will come with the car but you will need new carpet at sometime. The seats, dash, and door panels all seem to be in nice condition. Not show room perfect but they look very good. I was told the engine was rebuilt but I have no receipts on it. They did add aluminum heads and intake to the car. I don't have the original head and intake. I don't think the carb is original either. The car sounds super bad I believe there is a nice performance cam in the car as well. The engine has 0521028 YZ stamped on it and the VIN matches the bottom of the block. The trans has 70 PQ on it. The good news is you can buy the heads and intake if you want to go back to that. The important thing is that the original drivetrain is there. The car runs and drives. I hoe from all the pictures you can get a good idea of what the car is. Please email if you have questions. Just like on all cars this car does need some restoration but I believe it should be a pretty easy car to restore. These cars bring top dollar when they are restored. This car should do even better since it is numbers matching. If you know these cars they are rare and they only made around 1200 in an automatic. I believe the blue interior to be an extra plus. This car has some other nice options like tilt wheel and it was a factory air car. I do have the compressor and the brackets as well that will come with the car. I will probably list my 78 TA and my 73 numbers matching 455 TA also. This car is being sold as is without any warranties.
