Selling my incredibly clean 1974 V8 Vega. Car is the original color red with a hint of orange. In fact the car is still wearing a large portion of its original paint and it still shines very nicely. The car has never been rusted, wrecked or had putty. What you see is what you get. Very low miles on the body/suspension. Interior is all original hounds tooth and the dash is uncut. Underneath the car is just as clean as the top. Within the past year I had a Advanced Chassis fabricate and install frame connectors, 6pt roll cage with swing out bars and adjustable tubular rear control arms. The car is very easy to get in and out of with the swing out rails and the tilt steering. The car drives very nice. I had a new custom driveshaft built recently to fix a slight vibration that I had at highway speeds. Front end was just aligned and she drives straight and true. New urethane front bushings were also just installed. Engine is a 355ci V8 small block chevrolet. The engine was built tough and features a Edelbrock Air Gap intake with an 670 Street Avenger carb on it.It has Harland-Sharp roller rockers,screw in studs,girdles and guide plates,mildly ported corvette heads w/stainless steel valves,Weisco 10.25 to 1 forged pistons,ZGS rings,forged steel crank,4 bolt mains,fluidampner,comp cam assembly w/hydraulic lifters.The rods have been ground and shot peened and weight matched.The pistons are also weight matched.The headers are sanderson shorty's that are ceramic coated. Ignition is all MSD with a Pro Billet Distributer, Street Fire Box, Blaster 3 coil and new 8.5 wires. She runs strong but is VERY driveable. Transmission is a built 700r4 with electronic overdrive making for a comfortable 2,200rpm highway cruise even with the 4:11 gears. Fuel system is ready accommodate a LOT of power. It features a sumped stock tank with 2 #8 lines feeding into a pre filter then into a Magnafuel 500 Prostar pump with return. A -10 braided hose then runs through another filter into a Magnafuel junction block that has a Holley regulator installed for the nitrous and Magnafuel regulator for the carburateur. Nitrous system is a brandnew Edelbrock Performer kit that has yet to be used. It is all wired and ready but has never been sprayed yet. I know you hear that all the time but this is real. It has NEVER been sprayed. We were waiting to go to the track but we never made it. Problems.... Car has a 7.5 posi rear end out of a V8 Monza and is fitted with Richmond gears but it does OCCASIONALLY make some noise. I am thinking it may need a pinion bearing but I am not sure. It works fine but once we installed the tubular rear control arms with steel rod ends it made the rear noise quite a bit more annoying.
