Vehicle Detail
1978 Camaro with t-tops. All new suspension. Coils, Upper a arms, heavy duty front and rear sway bars, leaf springs, bushings. All new brakes with seals and bearings front and rear. Frame connectors. Solid body mounts. All new steering linkage. New $1200 fuel tank with built in electric fuel pump to feed the fuel injected motor. Fuel injected 350 motor with aluminum heads out of a 1995 Z28 Camaro. Automatic overdrive transmission out of the same 1995 Z28 Camaro. New Painless Plug-N-Play Wire Harness. New dash, not dash pad. New alternator, water pump, plugs and plug wires. Drove the 1995 Camaro home, removed the motor and trany as one and dropped them as one into the 1978 Camaro. Roughly $7000 invested. Don't have the time to finish her and have lost interest. My loss is your gain. I have the grill, lights and a whole trunk load of parts to go with it, radiator with fans from the 1995 Camaro, drive shaft, new door handles and other miscellaneous stuff. I know I am missing something. If you need to see something specific, just shoot me a note of what you are looking for and I will send what you need. The car is not running, it's a project that needs to be finished, which is why it is listed so cheap and with no reserve. Radiator needs to be installed and plumbed. Needs a brake master cylinder, the brake booster and brakes are new. Fuel lines need to be hooked up at the fuel tank and motor. The Painless wire harness needs to be installed. Power steering hoses need to be purchased and installed. A couple of weekends of work and it would be running.I was building the car with/for my daughter, well it has taken so long for us to get this far due to not having any time to work on it, that she has moved on and is no longer interested. There are two small rust spots, one behind each front wheel, no other rust.Link to the company for the suspension. The upgrades are the shocks and front end rebuild kit. Also got the solid body bushing and sub frame connectors. Custom Works Performance .comOn Jun-09-14 at 21:58:17 PDT, seller added the following information: This Car Is Not A Z28! The motor and transmission came out of a 1995 Z28 Camaro. This car is a LT model. I tried to revise the "item specifics" but it won't let me. Sorry for the confusion. Anything that would have made this a Z28 would have been gone anyway since the suspension, sway bars, brakes, engine and transmission, etc... has all been replaced. On Jun-09-14 at 22:01:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Vin is 1S87U8L538346
