Vehicle Detail
1996 Mercedes Benz SL600, 6.0 liter V12. Just under 39,000 miles. We are the second owners. The car has always lived indoors, so the interior and the original cloth soft top are in excellent condition. The plastic back window on the soft top is in fine condition, still clear, no cracks. The factory hard top is present, and in great condition. The original wind deflector is present, and does wonders for the top-down air flow in the cabin. The paint is in excellent condition. Xenon headlights, heated seats, navigation, Bose audio power everything, keyless entry, adjustable ride height, power operated roll bar. Leather wrapped EVERYTHING. The whole dashboard, door panels, lower dash (by your knees), seats, and even the roll bar is wrapped in leather. This is a fantastic long distance grand touring car with a great stereo, great seats, a comfortable ride, and mountains of smooth V12 power. The AC works great, we recently drove it through Napa on a 105 degree day, top up, and the AC kept up just fine. Currently has K&N air filters installed. Frequent oil changes with the dealer recommended Kendall motor oil. ADS suspension system just gone through, with new dampers at all four corners. Rides and handles as new! If you are local and would like to come see and drive the car, please do. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Notes: the tires are all Michelins in the correct sizes, but the fronts and rears are different models. This does not effect the way the car rides or drives, just something to be aware of before bidding. There is some touch up paint on the extreme lower edge of the front bumper, not something you will notice unless you are down on your hands and knees in front of the car. There is a light scratch on the B-pillar of the hard top, shown in one of the pictures. I think it will polish out, I have not tried. Maybe I will get around to this before the auction ends...
