Vehicle Detail
RELISTING DUE TO A NON PERFORMING BIDDER -- Lon_Rich. ....... NOTE ::: If you do not have at least 10 feed backs PLEASE do not bid on this vehicle. This 1957 Chevy Bel Air was bought by me at the auction from a local car collector that is getting older and moving south. He had a ton of old cars. He told me got this car in 1970 when he was 16 years old. He drove this car into the storage warehouse in 1974 and there it sat for the last 40 years. I have his original car dealer documentation when he bought the car in 1970 from Oliver Chevrolet in Rice Lake Wisconsin. The only thing I have done to this car is power wash it down and wipe off some of the oxidation. I have registered this car in my name. It has a clear title and brand new plates and current tags for Wisconsin. 1957 Chevy Bel Air 4 dr. 283 engine with 4 barrel. 3 speed Manual transmission. It was 3 on the tree but was changed to a floor shifter. Door Jamb Plate Vin # = C57K 17040 Engine Block # = FI029CD Engine Plate on firewall info. Style = 57-1019D Body # = K18645 Trim = 666 1A B Paint = 811 D Body by Fisher The upside stuff It is a true barn find as you can see by the picture. The car appears very original and unmolested. All of the engine components are there and look stock, it also still has the glass jar for washer fluid. The engine is free and turns over with compression with a wrench on the crank. The interior and head liner appears to be factory original. All the window mechanism work smoothly. Most of the stainless hardware trim is there and is in great shape. The tires hold air and the car rolls smoothly. The car had a box of parts in the trunk. 2 replacement front windows and some interior trim parts. In the trunk it has the factory original rubber liner and the factory jack. The downside stuff. It’s a 4 door that has not run on 40 years. This car sat in a dirt floor pole shed for the last 40 years. It has rust in the rocker panels, driver and passenger floor panel and in the rear wheel wells. He told me his son took out the starter years ago and it is missing. It is missing the rear bumper corners. The steering wheel is half missing and a hokey skull floor shifter handle is present. This vehicle needs restoration or could be used as a parts car. You are more than welcome to personally inspect this car The car is now located in Birchwood Wisconsin. It is the buyers responsibility for pick up and shipping. THIS CAR IS SOLD AS-IS. No warranties apply with this vehicle. All funds must clear bank before car is taken.
