Vehicle Detail

The rarest of all the American e30's, the 1988 BMW 325ix awd 5 speed coupe in fine condition. One of only 310 and one of only 56 in Cinnabar Red. 1988 was the only year that had as standard- Recaro sport seats, M steering wheel, M computer, power windows, door locks, mirrors, sunroof, and cruise control, all functioning perfectly. Even has map lights on the rear view mirror. Runs and drives beautifully. Engine runs strong and smooth, steering is tight and crisp. Interior is in excellent condition, except of course driver's seat. Would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. 223k miles (8600 per year avg.) but don't let that put you off. Car has many years of life left in her. The engine's internals are still as shiny and clean as can be. This car has no rust and zero underbody rust. I've owned her since '05 and have enjoyed every minute behind the wheel. Bought from Bergeron Ltd., and Mr. Bergeron put in a performance chip so it takes 91+ octane. You'll love the extra zip! I have taken extremely good care of this car and it shows in the way it looks and drives. Any questions please feel free to ask. Any interested local parties are welcome to view car prior to the final bidding. On May-24-14 at 09:48:32 PDT, seller added the following information: Have an amendment to make on the above information. I'd read that the M trip computer had more functions and was put into the '88. Just checked with an authority who told me all trip computers are the same. Sorry about that! But all other 'M' info is spot on correct. On May-26-14 at 12:37:50 PDT, seller added the following information: Was asked to provide mechanical and maintenance information on what I've had done with upkeep. The list as follows: New clutch assembly, disc, pressure plate and throw out bearing, resurfaced flywheel assembly @ 197,427 All new injectors with intake manifold gasket @ 197,597 Front brakes- Brembo OEM rotors and Akebono pads (talk about stopping power!) @ 213,407 Changed fluids in front and rear differentials, gear box and transfer case (synthetic) @ 213,407 All new belts, alternator and water pump @ 191,535 New Remus stainless exhaust @ 213,407 New power steering pump year before last. New front axle boots year before last. Replaced left control arm approx. 20k ago New timing belt last summer along with coolant and heat shield gasket. New Bilstein rear shocks year before last Installed new power antenna last Summer. New back brake 'T' with lines last Summer. 4 new Kumho Ecsta 4x's with no miles to speak of on them. Was also asked about the ac function- it's pitiful. Should have stated that originally, was not a deliberate omission. Have all mechanic invoices for the major maintenance, and most smaller stuff, and have all sales receipts for what I've listed when bought from Bavarian Autosport. As stated, I've taken extremely good care of this car and have done extensive maintenance to it that the new owner need never worry about. Was also asked to post pic's of undercarriage, I shall do my best. On May-26-14 at 13:19:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Here are the undercarriage pictures. The black you see on the body and spare tire well is undercoating. A previous owner wisely, massively undercoated it. And that orange spot is a sticker. On May-29-14 at 04:46:23 PDT, seller added the following information: Hey everybody, going through my maintenance records, and found more in the way of upkeep- New oxygen sensor summer before last New distributor cap and rotor when timing belt, coolant and heat shield gasket were replaced New intake bellows a couple years ago New front struts 6 years ago This is important and often overlooked....battery in instrument cluster was changed over to lithium. Original batteries were rechargeable NiCads that eventually went bad and leaked acid, frying your cluster. So no worries there. Also replaced tail light assemblies with euro lens assemblies. MUCH nicer looking than the orange ones. Reverse lights are much brighter. Also have original stereo that will go with car as well as original tail lights and air filter box.
