1980 Honda CB

You're looking at a 1980 Honda CB750C. The bike is currently registered and insured. I have title in hand. Bike is in overall great condition. Being mostly original parts including stock carbs, stock exhaust, stock air cleaner, ect. Mechanical wise this is a original motorcycle. The top end of the motor has been rebuilt (new piston rings, gaskets, valves seated, ect) as well as the carburetors have been rebuilt completely (including gaskets, jets, excelorator pump, air cutoff diaphragm, basically all of the internal parts except for the slide gaskets.) The carbs do have a vacuum leak where the throttle rods inter and exit the throttle bodies and they also leak the most where the choke rod inters and exits the throttle bodies. I did put o-rings there to see if I can seal it and it did seal the leak to some degree. the throttle just doesn't snap back like it should due to the gaskets. They can be repaired if you mill out the brass bushing and have new ones machined and pressed in but your best bet would be to buy a new carb rack for a couple hundred bucks and swap out the rebuild kit that's in the current carbs to the new ones if needed. The bike does run and pretty good if not for the vacuum leak. it idles great just when you take off the idle likes to hang around 3500 to 4500RPM. Cosmetically it needs some work. please view ALL of the pictures. The tank has a few small dents where the handle bars seem to have tagged it. It does have a new quality seat cover. side covers are there. the pegs that hold them on did break but I still have them and just need to be glued. I also had new tires put on a few weeks back. also has some surface rust around headlight area. SOLD AS IS. What is pictured is what you are bidding on.
