Vehicle Detail
1965 Corvette Sting Ray 327 engine 4 speed manual trani side pipe exhaust factory air (not currently working) factory power 4 way disk brakes no power steering factory radio This is an all stock factory car with the exception of a few items. The previous owner told me that the block has been changed but all the other parts are original. The carburetor has been updated to an Edelbrock carb. The wheels have been updated to rally wheels which were not an option on the Corvette in 1965. The side pipes have been added with all factory correct parts. This car is a great driver. Engine and transmission work perfectly. Power disk brakes work awesome. Recent brake job last yr. I drive this car once a week. It is mechanically sound. Tires have 95% tread life. The car is 100% intact. All factory parts are there. Nothing is missing. You could buy this car, drive it and enjoy it like I do. The car does have flaws. It has never been restored. Original interior is in the car. Per the previous owner; the car has been painted once. If you want a show car you would need to restore the car. Like I said it’s mostly all original with all the 49 year old parts so you can expect some wear. The car could use a paint job due to the chipping paint shown in the photos. It needs a small bit of body work over the passenger side head light. The passenger head light motor does not work. It was working but froze up due to not being used. Both head light motors should be rebuilt. Factory A/C is not working but it is all there. The windshield has a leak and needs to be resealed. It has not been a big issue for me because the car stays in the garage and I don’t drive it in the rain. If you want to build a $100,000 car, this is it. It is 100% complete no missing parts. You would just need to restore it. If you want a cool car that you can drive, have fun in without spending any additional money, this is your car. Either way this car will never go down in value. Another good thing about this car is if you don’t have the money to buy an $80,000 plus car, you can buy this one and work on it a little at a time. This car is a head turner. I can’t go anywhere with out people taking pictures of it or just wanting to stop and look at it. Even though it needs paint, the paint job looks good from 8 feet away. Not until you get close to the car is when you can see the imperfections. I have enjoyed the car in as in condition. It is a really nice car. It’s a 1965 Corvette Sting Ray for goodness sakes.
