Vehicle Detail

THIS IS NOT A GT, previous owner added GT badging and extra tailpipe. But I liked the idea of the GT look with the low insurance-cost and great MPG of the well-proven Mustang 6 cylinder motor so I kept it that way. At my age (73 this may) you learn that if it ain't broke, don't' fix it. My ex-wife commented that I spend too much money on my fun-cars...and I had to ask her "and your point is ?". So this is a good looking and smooth running Mustang convertible with an excellent Maint. history and receipts for most of it. Sold new in Texas, brought up to Colorado by me, both nice dry states that do not foul their highways with corrosive salt. It has an excellent EXTENDED WARRANTY that I purchased when I bought it. It covers engine/trans/diff/fuel and electrical system/steering/cooling/brakes/etc. It also covers a rental car and, roadside assistance. It is fully transferable I talked to them this morning and they emailed me the necessary form. The warranty goes for another 27 months and/or 29,000 miles for the New Owner. So this is not some scary used car with things waiting to break. It is well maintained with a safety-net in case something does break. I have used the warranty twice and it has returned the cost of the warranty purchase. Once at Courtesy Ford: new fuel system from pump-in-tank, to lines, to metering unit, to injectors. Warranty paid 85%, then the following year the alternator went out and the mechanic installed one. the warranty even paid for the roll-back tow truck. I had to pay for a new serpentine belt out of pocket. the old one was OK but it just seemed like the right time to replace all the belts while they were in there working on it. So the PS/AC belt got replaced as well as the Serp.-belt. Recently I drove it from Colorado to Miami at 70 MPH on Cruise, it got 27 MPG and had no problems. NEW in last 12 mos : Top (4 mos old), Hub-units + rotors+pads, Sears Diehard Gold (72 mos warranty), alternator and all belts, new windshield (4 mos old). Hub-Units are what we called, back in the day, wheelbearings, but now they are sealed, have 5 new lugs and cost $110. each. Progress. flush-fill all fluids (brake, trans, diff, PS, oil-filter, wipers, etc (Done before my trip to Fl. last month) NEW in last 24 mos : Clear Bra, 4-tires (fat, stickey Sumimotos, completed the "GT-look" ) complete Fuel delivery system, recharged A/C, plugs, etc You can check out the warranty at 800-808-0828. Its called the Route-66, Main-Street Deluxe warranty. Car has: Power top/PS/PBrakes/PWindows/PMirrors/Cruise/var.Spd wipers/defroster RW (part of the new top) and they ALL work. All the glass has the original factory tint except the rear-window (even for the new WS I specified the factory tint). the AM/FM multiple speaker system works great, but the CD player...not so much. and the scratch on the rear bumper? It was almost an inch long, I touched it up carefully with the correct sliver and it is pretty much invisible. think of it as a Sheep in Grey-Wolfs clothing. Great looks with low insurance cost and great MPG. NOTE: the evil ghost that lurks within the Ebay Pictureload Software rejected over half of my pics on first load, then rejected all but 5 on the second load. If you would like the rest of them, I will email them to you on request. The car is really a reliable beauty. On May-30-14 at 05:34:59 PDT, seller added the following information: Per question about Drive-it-home: I would meet you at the airport (Fort Lauderdale or Miami) and point you to the major highway relevant to your trip. I would have no qualms about driving it crosscountry tomorrow. A good solid car.
