1999 jeep wrangler Tj. This jeep has more than 8k in accessories. It was a project I started with my stepfather a 10 years ago. He passed away in 2009 and that was when this jeep was last driven. It has been in the garage ever since. I just charged the battery and it started right up. I will list most of the things it has as I recall that we assembled it. This jeep was bought with a salvage title from an insurance auction. It was hit on the rear left corner so we disassembled the entire rear body tub and replaced it with a new one from jeeps unlimited. The frame on this car was still straight except for the rear crossmember that back up to the bumper. We dismantled the Jeep down to the frame and recoated the frame. Than we installed a rotating controll bars from 4wheelparts with a 3" lift kit. That was over 2k. We also installed Rancho 9000 shock absorbers and the regulating controll console to adjust the stiffness of the suspension that was over 1000. We also installed disk brakes on the rear axles and a lock tracker rear differential traction lock system. The original 5 speed transmission was kept and the driveshafts were lengthened. Then we proceeded with swapping out the inline 6 cyl 4.0 l engine with a new Chevy Vortec V8 engine. And a new bel housing and computer from Howell engineering. Last but not least we put the body back on and made a custom bumper for the jeep. We also is talled a pioneer mp 3 stereo with controll remote. I'm sure I'm forgetting other things but that is basically what has been done. In 2009 my stepfather passed away and since this was out joint project I really didn't do much with it anymore. The things it needed to have done was adjusting the parking break and the gear shifting bar and finishing installing the body lift kit.. I remember that we were ordering a larger radiator because during hot days it used to almost overheat. Otherwise this jeep is a very fun project. It has over 10k invested in it.
