You are looking at an original 1947 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible. This car has not been chopped or altered in any way, although it was painted prior to 1966. My Dad bought this car MARCH 10 1957. and had it painted because someone's jealous girlfriend wrote "Drop Dead" in paint on both sides of it. This car was last registered in 1966. Since then, it has been sitting in dry storage up on blocks. It appears to be all original. Even the top is original with no rips or holes in it. The left front of the hood and the left front of the passenger's fender have a couple of spots where the paint has come off. I have no idea why the paint came off in these particular places. There are a couple of small rust spots that need attention. There are pictures of these in the website below. This car belonged to my Dad. It has not been started since coming out of storage, but the motor is free. The gas tank appears to need replacing and the fuel lines and fuel pump will need to be cleaned or replaced before starting this car. This car has 70,723 original miles on it.
