Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a completely restored, 1967 Chevy Camaro Sport Coupe, with a rebuilt (original) 327 cubic inch (210 Horsepower), V8 engine, and a rebuilt (original), Powerglide (automatic) transmission. I purchased the vehicle in December 2013, from the second owner, who had the car completely restored by a professional restoration shop, where he lived, in North Carolina. The car only had 24 miles on the restoration, when I purchased it, and it basically has the same miles on it now, because the car was put in storage immeadiately after purchase and delivery. (Not driven this past Winter). The car originally came from California, and had no rust issues prior to restoration. I was not involved in the restoration, so I know very little about it. Only what I was told by the second owner. The car was (100%) restored from top to bottom, inside and outside, including all mechanicals, such as brakes, and front end work. The car has four (4) new BF Goodrich tires on all corners. The car looks just as nice underneath the body, as well as under the hood, and inside the trunk. It is a very nice car, as evidenced by the (12) enlarged photos that I have provided. I reluctantly have to sell the car now, because of a recent change in my personal life. I have over $32,000 in the vehicle to date, so my loss will be your gain. Shipping of the vehicle will be at the new owners expense. The car is located in Lansing, Michigan 48917. Full payment is required within seven (7) days, from the end of the auction. Please have the funds in your account, before you bid on, and puchase the vehicle. (No finanacing at a later date). The full payment (money) will be deposited in my bank account, via a bank wire to wire transfer. (No exceptions). The necessary information to make the money transfer, will be given to the buyer, after the auction ends. I will not release the vehicle to the new owner or shipper, until all funds can be verified by my bank. Please allow time for this to happen, prior to making arrangements to ship the vehicle, or pick it up in person. NOTE: I will store the vehicle for up to 30 days, from the end of the auction. Thank you for looking at my auction. If you have any questions, or concerns, please feel free to contact me thru eBay. Good luck to all bidders. ................... Stonefaber (Tom) On Apr-28-14 at 00:38:59 PDT, seller added the following information: Monday, April 28, 2014; PLEASE NOTE: I was asked a question by an interested eBay member, to furnish the "engine pad number", stamped on the front of the block, on a machined surface. I was not familar with where to look, but I did eventually locate it, and was able to read the stamped number. The number is as follows: V0206MP. This did not mean anything to me at the time the guy requested the number, but it actually became more important to me, after the guy did some research, and then told me, that the engine block that I have, is not original to the car, as I had been told by the previous owner. I stated in my auction ad, that the engine and transmission were "original" to the car, but rebuilt. Again, this is what i was told by the previous owner. I investigated the pad number myself on the Internet, and I came up with the following information: V = 327 Cubic Inch / 210 HP V8 engine, manufactured in Flint Michigan. Assembled on 02 = Second Month or February, followed by 06 = the 6th day. NOTE: The last two (2) letters MP, should really be the letters ME, to be correct for my 1967 Chevy Camaro, 327 V8 engine. I researched and found what the MP letters actually represent on my stamped engine block. The letters MP = 302 Cubic Inch / 290 HP V8, with a manual transmission. This is very confusing to me, and for the other guy, that was asking me about the engine number. He was just wanting to verify that the engine was original to the car. As my auction ad states my transmission is an automatic, and not a manual one. I was also told by the previous owner, that the transmission was a Powerglide, and not the optioned 350 automatic transmission. I also checked my carburetor to see if it was a 2 or 4 barrel. It is a Rochester 2 jet, or 2 barrel carburetor. My engine is also supposed to have the original California, "smog control" installed as well, according to the previous owner. If my engine block is truly a 1967 Chevy, 302 Big Block, which the MP code represents, then it is indeed very rare, and much more valuable. Only a total of 602 (302) engine blocks were manufactured in 1967. I am guessing now, that my original 327 engine block, was replaced by the 302 engine block, and then some of my 327 components were used at the time of the rebuild. (Just guessing now). I just wanted to make sure now, that I inform everyone that is following my auction, and to those who have already placed a bid on my Camaro, that this information was found out, after the auction started. I am not trying to deceive anyone here. Again, I thought the engine and transmission were original to the car, as that was always told to me by the second owner, who restored the car. Sorry about all of the confusion. On Apr-28-14 at 06:24:53 PDT, seller added the following information: April 28, 2014: NOTE: Four (4) Photos added to the auction listing as follows: Photo# 1 = Pad Number on Machined Surface and Photos #2, #3, and #4 = Underside of Restored Chassis.
