Vehicle Detail

1989 Mustang LX 5.0 Convertible Runs and drives fine. Only issue is that transmission shifts short, it doesn't stay in lower gears when you're "on it", always upshifts too early in the RPM band. Other than that, it shifts tight, and works perfectly. Probably an easy adjustment for those who are familiar with Ford AOD transmissions. * Added* The rear window motors died, I took them out and they were toast. I obtained replacement motors but have not had time to install them. I'll try to get them in before pickup. * Added* Stated mileage has been revised to reflect information learned from an astute ebay buyer. I was sold the car five years ago from a dealer who claimed 73,000 miles. I've only put 4,000 on it in this time, but it's still hard to believe that it has 177,000 miles on it considering the condition of the drivetrain and especially the interior. A mileage of "unknown" or "exempt" (as stated on the clear Missouri title) might be more appropriate. Has many new parts. Top is very good, with rear glass, power top lowers and raises as it should. Has new shocks and struts, new brakes up front. Tires are 90% plus tread. Leather interior is in excellent condition. Steering wheel looks like someone bit it (see pictures). Up to you if you want to replace it or just put a cover over it (like I did). Has a new cowl vent grill, new windshield wipers, new door panels, new door handles inside and out, new top door trim and rubber bits, new headlight assemblies, new fan and clutch, new battery, recently tuned up with new spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. Paint is okay, good shine. It has a few small imperfections that I took special pictures of. All weather stripping is in great shape, but I have never been able to get the top to "seal" perfectly with the door glass. Maybe there's a trick to doing this that I don't know about. It's not perfect, but it's a good car as it is, and a great car for someone who wants to fix it up and doesn't want to start with a beater. IT WILL RUN AND DRIVE ANYWHERE Overall good looking condition and a VERY good find. Selling as is, all sales Final to the buyer for what it brings via Paypal, Bank Wire Transfer, Cash, or Cashiers Check. Any Shipping will be at buyers expense - The MUSTANG will be fine to drive home where ever home is as it is Mechanically Sound. Also, ebay only lets you post 24 pictures. If you are looking for something specific, let me know and I'll see what I can send you. PLEASE MAKE OFFER IF YOUR PRESENTLY IN THE POSITION TO PURCHASE AS I AM IN A SELLING POSITION AND VERY WILLING TO DEAL Thank You Very Much
