1971 300SEL 3.5 Non-metallic anthracite grey 173 with burgundy/red 242 leather interior.Extensive service records back to 1982,major work performed at Hatch & Sons through 2006.In Atlanta most recently,rear axle pinion seal,trigger points,distributor cap and rotor replaced.This 3.5 runs like a watch and shifts as designed.Fast and fun to drive.Suspension stays up for weeks,and height adjusts correctly.The interior is remarkable-soft,supple original,still fragrant leather with no rips or tears and minimal signs of wear.Headliner and sunvisors are outstanding.Wood is only faded at top of dash,rest has a deep grain and shiny finish.Windshield is original and retains coolant decal.A/C needs attention.Held Freon charge for a few weeks last summer,and a/c compressor clutch is noisy in operation.The paint is original on the roof,hood,and trunk.The fenders were either repainted or improperly wet-sanded prior to my ownership,and are faded.The vehicle had extensive rust protection from new,and body is extremely solid except for the left and right lower front rocker sections.Heater/ventilation levers need replacement.Radio was replaced in the 80's with a Blaupunkt.Radio and power antenna are operational.I have an original Becker Grand Prix that I will include in the sale of the 3.5.Vehicle sold with a bill of sale,as I had purchased with a bill of sale from previous owner.All previous registrations included back to 80's.Not an issue in most or all states due to age of vehicle.404-310-9026 Michael.On Apr-10-14 at 11:28:50 PDT, seller added the following information:
