Vehicle Detail

NOTE: Connecticut is a NON TITLE state. They do not issue titles for vehicles over 25 years old. Connecticut uses a form called the Q1 which is a bill of sale and transfer of ownership. So be aware that since Connecticut does not use titles there isn't one for this vehicle. Ebay Requires me to put that the car has a clear title as there is no option for old cars without titles This auction is for a very desirable 1930 Buick Country Club Coupe model 64c. This car is a barn find and has been in storage since the 1950's. I am the 3rd owner of the car. The car is very very solid with no rust or rust holes. There aren't even areas that look thin on this car. The rust areas that you see are just surface rust. The car looks like it has ben painted twice in its lifetime. Once by the factory and once more in the past. The wool mohair interior is in good shape for it's age, but it does have some bare spots here and there from bugs eating the wool. The cur runs and drives, however I would not quite drive it all over town just yet, so NO you can't drive it home to Vancouver, but it runs to load it on a trailer or into a container. The tires hold air but have substantial flat spots from sitting for so many years and that is another reason why I would not go nuts driving it. The mechanical brakes work great and the car rolls freely. The transmission is smooth and quiet and the rear axle is quiet also. There are also no keys for this car, however any locksmith can make keys for the locks, I have a locksmith locally who can make keys just on the feel of the lock. See the attached youtube videos of it running. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBWrcbUc9ew https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQpjGc0G1OY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uK25Dk-85Ec https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WuQYG1TMQlY We have done a lot of work to get it to this point and it seems to just need to have the body and chrome work redone. The work that we have done to this point include: Rebuilt engine, new gas tank, new fuel sending unit, boil out radiator, rebuilt starter, rebuilt water pump, rebuilt distributor, rebuilt fuel pump, rebuilt carburetor, new exhaust tail pipe, rebuilt heat riser tube, rebuilt fan hub with new bushing and grease fitting, new release bearing, relined clutch plates. We specifically rebuilt the engine with, reground cam, new lifter rollers, rebuilt oil pump, new timing gears, new gaskets throughout, reconditioned rocker shaft assembly, rebuilt cylinder head with new valves, new springs and hardened seats. The original cast iron pistons were reused to ensure smooth running and new custom made Hastings piston rings were made. We also reground the crankshaft and rebabbited the bearings. The cost for just rebabbiting the bearings and grinding the crank was $1700. The engine runs well and does not over heat and has 25-30psi of oil pressure at idle. However I'm sure that as the engine breaks-in the timing and carb could be adjusted. I've probably spent $4k on the engine....I don't even want to add it up! A lot of the hard and expensive work has been done already, I am only selling this Buick because I have way too many irons in the fire and they're other Buicks! Payment is due, paid in full with in 7 days of auctions end. As a reminder, Connecticut is a NON TITLE state. They do not issue titles for vehicles over 25 years old.
