62 vette convertible very original car. I have paperwork from one owner who owned it since 1972 and he purchased a lot of brand new nos Chevy parts still in original GM boxes and wrappers. Next owner owned it for about 12 years and is a professional auto body man specializing in Corvettes. He was driving the car daily until he removed the trim and prepared the body for paint about 3 years ago. Any problems with the body he professionally repaired, resulting in a gorgeous body. All bonding strips under fenders are beautiful , he said all of his repairs are NCRS TOP FLIGHT quality. Gorgeous panel fit and finish and gaps and seams. Very close to being paint ready. Numbers matching original engine 327 300 horsepower . Car Vin 20867S102943 Numbers on Front pad of engine 2102943 Suffix code on Engine Fii09RD Yes the number on the front of the vin matches the vin number on the steering column. He told me that all of the numbers are correct throughout the car. Rare factory 3 speed manual transmission car, with posi rear end, AM radio. I could not find the vin on the 3 speed trans, however it looks like it was never stamped. Air cleaner was signed years ago by Zora Duntov yes the General Motors designer of the Corvette. Even has all of the original T3 headlights. He also gave me 2 Gallons and 1 Quart of Black Lacquer Paint along with 1 Quart of Red Lacquer Paint for the dash and interior. He had all the original bumpers rechromed still wrapped from the chrome shop. Everything that I am listing is NOS GM rubbers and seals for body, rocker moldings, front fender spears, all grill pieces, headlight bezels,carpet, trunk mat. All of the parts in the pictures included too numerous to list. The major parts that appear to be needed to finish the restoration are top canvas, seat covers, dash pad. Easy project, only exterior trim is off car and door glass is out of car but included. This is not some swap meet basket case. Brakes are restored and work well, exhaust system is restored with stock style stainless steel pipes and mufflers 5 new coker whitewall tires.
