No Reserve Auction For sale – 2003 VW Jetta Wolfburg edition. We are the second owners having bought this car from a dealer in 2004. It’s a great commuter car or student’s first car with excellent gas mileage (30+MPG), nimble performance, and turbo-power to pass when the need arises. This car performs well in cold and warm climates – it’s a VW. Overall condition - This Jetta is in very good to excellent condition especially considering its age. Wear levels are in line with that normally expected after 130 K miles of service. The car has experienced mostly mild winters in NC where it is currently registered and driven. KBB accident report (see image) - clean history with no reported accidents. Exterior - very good to excellent shape with only 2 minor dings (see last 2 pictures). Wheels set up with Cooper Weather Master low profile S/T tires (with excellent tread remaining) and 17” MOTEGI R7 Racing Rims. Dealer installed factory spoiler rounds it out the trim. Alignment and tire balance is good – no shaking at highway speed with no abnormal tread wear. Interior – clean with only normal wear on interior surfaces surface. Cool, comfortable “Euro style” cloth seat upholstery has held up well and is not ripped or split. Chrome fixtures show minor pitting and wear. All mechanical latches work. Heat and A/C are functional. Steering wheel shows hand-wear but is true and has no excess play. Engine has been well maintained with the following replaced in the last 36 months: thermostat, cooling sensor, spark plugs and coil, timing belt. The turbo runs well and the engine consumes no oil. Transmission (5-speed) shifting is smooth; original clutch replaced at 85K miles. Lubrication - The car has had regular oil / filter changes throughout the ownership. Safety Equipment – lights/flashers, seat belts, emergency brake, brake master cylinder, wipers/washers all work. Disclosure – Power lock on the right rear door sticks. Mechanically, the right rear door and lock opens and closes as normal. All other automatic locks (cabin and trunk) are functioning normally.
