Upon purchase, I will go to the DMV, pay the past due fees, then request a duplicate title. I will also get a smog check, because it can't be registered without one. Now, once the duplicate title (pink-slip) is received, I will have it signed over to you (the buyer). So, you are essentially getting a truck for the price of DMV fees. A bill of sale will be used to complete the sale, until the hard copy title is received. If you understand this process and agree to it, I believe you will see the value in this deal.
