Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1985 Chevrolet Silverado in about the best kept condition that you are going to find. I would not be afraid to get in this truck and go absolutely anywhere. The motor starts with a slight bump of the key, the transmission shifts very solid, the tires are brand new, the air conditioning blows ice cold (this is because the entire a/c system is brand new and now accepts the new freon). There are so many items that have been taken care of on this truck that there is no way that I will get them all listed but here goes. Let me say first that I am listing this for a gentleman that lives in my town. I sell items of my own on here quite often but rarely sell things for other people. I refuse to ruin my 100% seller feedback rating over trying to sell someones junk. This truck is SOLID with a few cosmetic issues. I did notice that this truck does smoke a LITTLE bit. I asked him point blank, how much oil does it burn and he told me about a quart every thousand miles. He doesn't get out of town with it so I am assuming that is around town and from my experience that is always a little worse. I am just letting you know any little thing that I can think of. I am completely full disclosure because I want you to be happier when you get here than you thought you were going to be. It does not rattle, has no exhaust leaks, makes no ticks or any noises whatsoever and runs perfectly. As I said above, the air conditioning system has been replaced. compressor, etc., etc. The window motors have been replaced (they work just as they are supposed to). It has a new alternator. It has a new carburetor. It has a very quiet and good sounding new exhaust system. The battery is about a year old and we will just go ahead and call the tires new as well (see pictures). You can see the seat shown in the pictures. That is obviously a picture of the driver's side. I don't know that I've seen one in that good of shape. It sits up real nice and the entire seat is about a 9.5 out of 10. The previous owner tried to say that the odometer had not been rolled over yet but I am not going to say that. There are so many things about this truck that would lead me to believe him but I just don't think that that is true. The seat is in immaculate shape and has always had a cover on it. The paint on this truck is really nice. If I were to buy this truck I would repaint the blue above the pinstripe (top of bed sides, top of fenders, hood, and roof). I can also tell you a couple things that NEVER work on one of these trucks. One is the cruise control and the other is the dual tank switch. Both of which work on this truck. The inside of the bed is not all beat up. Just small dents here and there from throwing things in it. The bumpers have no rust. The front one has a small dent and the rear one appears to be perfect. The dash has the normal cracks. It is not blasted but it isn't perfect. It has a nice dash pad over it right now. The truck will need a headliner. When you look at the pictures, you will see an old oil spot on the concrete. NO, that is not from this truck. I am just trying to answer as many questions ahead of time as I can. The truck is not cleaned up at all in the pictures and I am sorry for that but we simply wanted to get it listed and this is what it looks like basically at it's worst. 1985 Chevrolet Silverado4WD (works exactly as it is supposed to)Completely new A/C system (accepts new freon)New window motorsNew alternatorNew exhaustNew carburetorNew tiresNew shocks within the last few yearsCruise control (WORKS PERFECT)Dual tanks (both work)The seat is very close to perfectThe doors shut just like a brand new pickupSmooth ride at 70mphSolid, very nice truckYou don't find one like this every day. Feel confident that you are bidding on exactly what I have stated above. The reserve is extremely low on this truck and I am guessing it will be there in the first twelve bids and that includes the guy that bids .99 and the guy that bids $150.00. I will not lie or leave anything out. I have personally driven this truck and I would be proud to have it. If you have any questions at all, feel free to call me. Also, I am willing to work with trucking companies if you are planning to arrange for the truck to be picked up by someone other than you personally. Interstate 70 runs right through the middle of town and there is a truck stop just off of the hiway that makes a good place to load onto a car hauler. I will not arrange this but I will do my best to accommodate if you choose to go that route. One last thing, the vehicle needs to be paid for in a timely manner (within five to seven days) and then after that if you cannot get here to pick it up right away it can be left for a little while if necessary. Please contact prior to placing a bid if you plan to do this. Thanks,Alan - 660-909-6846
