Vehicle Detail

1986 Suzuki Samurai with a 1.6L EFI 16 Valve Conversion. Purchased this vehicle in 2009 and have done a considerable amount of work on it during the time I have owned it. I have enjoyed this small 4x4 for what it was built for and will certainly miss it. However I turned 50 this past fall and the ride is not favorable for my back. I have used this mostly for snow wheeling and for that purpose it works quite well. Would not recommend it for a daily driver. Please see list below for details. If you have any questions or would like additional pictures please let me know. I have the option of delivering to the winning bidder. Cost would be .65 per mile for the round trip. Please contact me for details. 1986 Suzuki Samurai 4x4 Engine: 1.6L EFI 16 Valve from a 1996 Sidekick. Conversion was complete in 2010. Engine was rebuilt prior to installation. Engine runs very well with no codes. Oil is Mobil 1 full Synthetic 10w-30 with less than 100 miles since change. Doug Thorley tri-y header with a custom exhaust. Transmission: 5-Speed from Samurai, rebuilt prior to engine swap. Transfer Case: 4.16 Crawler gears from Trail Tough. Axles: 5.29 gears with Lockrite Lockers both front and rear. All u-joints replaced during engine conversion. Tires & Wheels: 33x12.50x15 with 5/8" tread on 8x15 American racing aluminum wheels. Tire brand is sidewinder and is a copy of the old BFG Mud Terrain. Exterior: Front bumper is a custom unit built to fit around the 8000# winch. Light bar is a 7500 Lumen Osram LED. Bushwacker flares. Body is for the most part rust free with the exception of both front corners just below the corner of the headlights. Original paint that is in reasonably good shape. Does have its share of scratches and small dings, not bad for a 28 years old vehicle. Soft top is showing some wear and is close to being ready to be replaced. Also included is a Bikini top that is in like new condition. Interior: Steering wheel is from a Suzuki Swift GT and matches the power steering perfectly. Seats are aftermarket and work well but are snug for some tastes. Rear seat is original. Abs replacement door panels on all three doors and the rear trim.
