Some new convenience and safety features and a new navigation/entertainment module. Changes for 2010 gave the Stang a more modern and a bit less retro appearance. The new car features a forward swept grille like its predecessor, but has a somewhat compressed look. The GT500 got a new power dome hood. Taillights have been restyled and they are much less on the rectangular spectrum than before. Which really changes the overall look of the back of the vehicle. The taillights use LED's which illuminate progressively from inside to outside when the turn signal is activated.On the insides, Ford stayed with the general cabin layout of the previous model with the 2010's new interior. You'll find more premium materials inside the GT500, including a new soft-touch dashboard surface. Also restyled was the gauges and of course you got the new control panel and entertainment interface. You get a large 8" touch screen to navigate through music and traffic. The GT500 continues to wear aggressive exterior styling. The large front grille and lower bumper opening bring in black mesh inserts, and the grille has a Cobra logo in it. This combo makes 540 horsepower at 6200 RPM and 510 ft pound of torque at around 4400 rpm. Premium fuel is of course required on this behemoth. The engine drives the rear wheel drive through a six speed manual transmission. There's room for four in the Shelby GT500 on front and rear bucket seats finished in leather and Alcantara. The dash gets real aluminum trim and there's a retro ball shifter. You'll also find Ford's Sync Entertainment system standard in the GT500.
