Hello. Thanks for your interest in this listing. This started out as a 78' Honda CX500. It has been extensively modified and customized. The last two bikes I built got a lot of attention, and had a lot of people wanting to purchase my custom parts, so they could make their own bike and save some money. I've been refining the parts with each build and these are pretty much what will be available. When this auction is over, I'll be able to provide the parts to any interested builders. Now that I have that out of the way, here's the details on this bike. I basically strip down an original bike, and redo it with my styling and custom parts. I blast almost everything before I paint or powder coat. The frame, swing arm, and wheels were blasted, etch primed, and epoxy coated. The gas tank was blasted, etch primed, high build primed then based and cleared. The list of powder coated parts are as follows: fork legs, top clamp, risers, indicator light bracket, foot pegs and bracket, brake pedal, and shift lever, battery box, sub frame, custom radiator grill, valve covers, oil filter housing, clutch cover, exhaust spigots, Honda emblems on engine, and engine coolant pipe. The new aftermarket parts are as follows: gauges, clubman bars, oem honda grips, headlight, tail light, blinkers, battery, tires, clutch and throttle cables, master cylinder, and license plate bracket. After scrapping about 20 different exhaust designs last summer, I came up with this version. It has equal length 1 1/2" headers with a 2 into 1 merge collector. It has a very nice sound. I have some videos on youtube of the previous bikes, but I'll try to get a video of this one before the auction ends, weather permitting. I will be uploading better pictures with a high res camera. I shot these with my phone, so please excuse the quality. I encourage interested parties to ask questions about any details I've left out. I've been a CX fanatic since I was a kid. I built my first CX racer in ' 94. That bike was featured in the Feb ' 96 issue of Roadracing World. It was a "sideways" chain drive chromoly framed racer. I went on to build a CX turbo, and another chaindrive version with the engine tilted forward, to improve the center of gravity. These are great engines that are finally getting the recognition they deserve. I will attach some pics of my racebikes for the enthusiasts out there.
