Listed here is very nice, unrestored, 81k. mile original, garage kept, 1973 Matador. Optioned with 360 2 barrel V8, and 727 Chrysler trans. Has power steering, manual drum brakes, a/c, buckets that recline all the way back, sorry but I forgot the name of this option. Original radio still in tact and working. Clock doesn't work. A/C compressor is connected but turning on switch does not work. Original water bottles(radiator overflow and windshield washer bottle) still in tact and uncracked. There are 2 rips in drivers seat where stiching has come undone. In original paint and while it is not perfect it is still pretty good for 41 years old. Vinyl top is in great condition and there are no signs of bubbling or peeling. Carpet, headliner, rear package tray, rear seat, passenger seat and door panels all in great condition. Pull straps on doors both split and previous owner put green tape on them. Last registered in 06 and is on a California non op. I bought this car 85 miles from my home, got a one day pass, checked all fluids and drove it home with no problems or any signs of problems. No smoke at start up or driving. Valve cover gaskets could use change I believe. Everything is still tight on this car, including steering, doors closing, windows going up and down, and trunk springs. I thought it would be a great car to do simple modifications to like a stock 4V set up, dual exhaust and nicer wheels and tires for a cool cruiser. Hood hadn't been opened in years and passenger side stuck, then broke. I am currently looking for a replacement. You just don't see many of the 71-73 Matadors listed which I believe are far better looking than later ones.
