******NO RESERVE****** This car spent it's first 9 years in Texas and the past 11 years in my garage, every night under a corvette cover. The car has never spent a night outside, it has always been garage kept, under cover and ...it looks like it! It has never seen ice or snow and has been driven only on the nicest of days and weekends. The few times it has been caught in rain, it has been washed and waxed after. This car is in 100% original condition in every way, documented as such and has been babied, well maintained (Mobil 1, every 500-2k max miles annually) and driven sensibly and not very frequently. Most of it's miles were early Texas highway miles and I've only put about 10K miles on the car, in the past 11 years. It runs as good as it looks and has all the power and torque you could want. Your opportunity to own a serious, unique 'collectors item', in rare condition. The car is rare because of ....the color combination it has (very few made) ...the options that it has, ....the included, preserved original documentation package and ....the condition that the car it's in. I personally do not think you could find another corvette anywhere out there, that has all of the features that this car has, is as well documented as the car is and is in the kind of great condition that this car is in. The color combination of the Torch Red exterior, along with the Torch Red leather interior, is very rare. Google '1993 Corvette Specifications' and you will see that this color combination was the poster child for the 1993 corvette however only 14% of the cars manufactured in '93 were Torch Red and far, far, far fewer had the Torch Red interior to match, I personally have never seen another one and GM does not keep those records, I've tried to find out. On several occasions when I've had the one piece Targa style removeable roof off, the color combination pops and the unusual, almost convertible look and style of the car, has inspired turnpike toll takers to tell me unsolicited, out of the blue, that it's the nicest corvette they've seen, regardless of the year. The option package it has, is the most top of the line they offered in '93 and added almost $5,000 to the sticker price of this car. Options include, electronic climate control, driver and passenger, 6-way power, leather sport bucket seats, digital trip computer and digital gage readouts, selective ride and handling, a Bose premium sound system with both cassette and cd. The most unusual part of the car is the one piece, Torch Red factory painted removable roof. GM spec's (google, as above) list that they only made, blue or gold tinted one piece removeable roofs in '93, so I can only assume that this factory painted Torch Red removable roof was a special order and very rare. The one piece Targa / Cabriolet style of removable roof on the car is a very unique feature, when removed (it fits in the back) the car actually looks like a stingray with a convertible top, which is a very classic and classy look, which GM did not have around for very long. Add to all of this, the dealer installed and life time warrantee, clear coat and beautiful window tint and the car came in at more than $40,000, over 20 years ago. Very much near the same condition now. See the pictures. This would be a great package for a collector who wants to preserve a real, 100% original piece of American history and kept in this condition for another 10 years, would be a valuable investment, if taken to one of the major auction houses. It would also be a great Christmas present for 'the man who has everything'. The remote door opener was stepped on by my daughter accidentally years ago and doesnt work however they are readily available on ebay, in the $125-150 price range. The analog gage for water temp doesn't seem to work but press a button and the digital readout tells you the exact water temp. Easy fix but I never needed it. Please no zero or negitive feedback bidders, as those bids will be removed. This is not to be confused with 40th anniversary ZR1 special high performance edition (with bigger motor) which I believe only came in deep red/burgandy. This car is actually a much nicer, more stylish, classy and a more reliable car. It has beautiful gold rocker kick panels on each door entry with very nice 40th anniversary emblems on them. Also has a very nice gold '40th' logo, embroidered on each seats headrest. I'm selling the house and garage that this car is stored in. Offered at *******NO RESERVE******* A '93 Torch Red Corvette like this one (not quite as nice as this car, beige int, blue tint roof) was featured on the Discovery chanel's, Top Gear, 'Best Mid-life Crisis Car' episode.
