Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1983 Porsche 944 with automatic transmission, true miles unknown. This is a pretty solid car for someone who wants an automatic, BUT this is a project, or you may want to use it for parts. I do have a title signed by the seller(Indiana title), not transferred over to me since I originally just bought it for parts. The car was driven to me, about 3 hours, but I suggest the car be trailered after purchase. Will start with a boost, the battery is shot, and the alt light stays on after started. It sounds like the automatic damper plate is making noise and most likely coming apart. The automatic seems to shift fine. The engine does need a tune-up. Tires have good tread, but are dry. Brakes seem to work fine. Car is missing fog lights, outer door handles, rear sunroof latches, vent/heat controls, and glovebox. Passenger rear floor does get wet after a rain and therefore the passenger seat does not move. Driver seat is torn, but the seat back is pretty good. The passenger seat bottom is torn also, but the seat back is very good. Does come with door panels, but they are poor. You decide whether you want it for parts or to restore. No warranty. $200 deposit within 24 hours of auction end via Paypal. Balance due within 7 days. You can have as much time as you want to pick it up. I can store the car outside at a local place of business, out of sight of traffic, but there is no security guard there. Email or call with questions. Mark @ 606-524-1540 On Feb-26-14 at 10:18:27 PST, seller added the following information: This 944 easily has $1500 of parts plus scrap value. I just hate to part it out at this time. Several people have asked for parts from this car, but I would like to pass a fair deal on to someone else. I've got 6 other 944's for parts right now as well, so my hands are full. This car does have the desirable MANUAL steering gear. Please keep the questions coming.
