Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1997 BMW Z3 with 92,000+ miles. It is the 4 cylinder 1.9L engine, and gets between 27 and 31 miles per gallon. It passed the California Smog Test 1/10/2014. I have had the vehicle since 2008 and since that time I have put on between 25-30,000 miles. I have changed the oil every 3000 miles since I have had it. The car has Salvaged title which is how I purchased it. It was probably in an accident and the original color was British Racing Green, not the current yellow. The interior is black with Tan leather seats and side panels. The following is a list of work I have had done on the car or parts I have replaced and the dates when I did so: New Tires @ 85,500 miles in March 2012 New Clutch and Throwout Bearing in September 2011 New Top in 2008 New Power Steering hose in February 2012 New CD/Radio w/remote & New Infinity Speakers in 2009 New Camshaft Position Sensor in July 2013 New Valve Cover Gasket in February 2013 New Locking Gas Cap in January 2014 The engine runs cool and strong and the transmission and clutch seem to be in good shape. The car needs cosmetic work. The clear coat on the paint is peeling off and the car needs repainting. Needs some small amount of body work, particularly on the hood by the grill where there is a small dent. The back plastic window is fogged, but I only drive the car with the top down so that doesn't bother me. The electric windows are very slow in going up and down, and some of the interior trim needs work. This car is a lot of fun to drive, and is a great car for summer. As with any car this age (17 years old), it is going to require maintenance and repair on occasion. My mechanic tells me that the brakes still have life left in them. I have a windscreen that is in the trunk that has never been installed that goes along with the car. Kelley Blue Book lists the car @ $5,900 in Fair Condition. Local pickup only, San Francisco Bay Area (San Leandro).
