Vehicle Detail
Folks I am regretfully selling my 325i convt only due to fact that some large unexpected bills have arrived and I need the funds more than the second car. I searched a long time to find this BMW in the color combo, miles, condition, and at a reasonable price. When I purchased this car just last year it was described as “like new” – it's 22yrs old, and not a museum piece so don’t expect a “like new” car. After I drove the car on a two day trip from Florida back to Ohio, I took it to a BWM specialty shop and asked them to look over the entire car and give me an assessment. They told me it was in “really great condition” and gave me a “short list” of suggested service. In February 2013 I went ahead and spent $1,947.19 which included the following plus: (since these repairs I’ve put about 1,000 miles on the car) (I have the receipts to prove the work) - new water pump and hose - new timing belt - new radiator - replaced drive shaft flex joint - power steering flush & brake fluid flush - replace various light bulbs, and new windshield wipers At 121192 miles – new rear wheel bearing (367.01), two new rear tires (could use front tires now) At 121048 miles – A/C system recharge. At 114644 miles – major transmission service, valve cover gaskets, drive belts, new exhaust and muffler In past 12,000 miles over $6,500.00 has been invested in this car! Have all the records to prove. So mechanically the car is in excellent condition. Power top works as it should and is in excellent condition also. Majority of the car’s life have been spent in Florida which helped keep it in great shape. The interior is also in great shape (not new) but no rips, tears and the heated seats operate as they should in both modes. Aftermarket audio system sounds great. Paint is overall in excellent shape and the body is very straight not dinged all up – there are a few very small scratches here and there, but nothing to detract from the overall appearance. BBS wheels are also in great condition. Never smoked in, and no odd smells. It is being sold “as is” of course, and also for sale locally. The SRS light (has the drive side airbag) is on – didn’t care about it and didn’t have the shop investigate it. As mentioned above the front tires could stand to be replaced but wouldn't have to be right away. The AutoCheck revealed two reported accidents - must have been very minor and repaired very well as specialty shop I took it to couldn't see any evidence of repairs. Inline 6 cylinder delivers good balance of power and still fairly economical, trans shifts smoothly. It’s a lot of fun drive, and comfortably seats four. I considered just making it my daily driver and you certainly could if wanted. Pretty easy to see why these cars have been so loved over the years. This is a turn key and go anywhere car. I don’t have a lot of feedback as I have only bought a couple cars and various other items over many years on Ebay. This is an accurate description of the car and pics can attest to the condition. Feel free to ask any questions. If you want one of these and don't want to have to sink a bunch of additional money into it (which is typical per the BMW shop I took it to) after purchasing then this would be a good choice as I've already done this for you! Always get compliments when driving the car, and would really like to keep it, especially after sinking so much money into it, but need to liquidate. Truly believe whoever gets this BMW will be extremely pleased with it and have a lot more miles to enjoy! Thanks. Cruise control works properly, but lever on steering column is loose. Spare is full size and in very good condition.
