I have a 1990 BMW K1 1000 CC motorcycle for sale. The bike does have a problem, please read entire ad before you bid. The problem is when you go to start it, the starter just zings, it does not engage the engine to start it. When you push start the bike it starts easy and runs beautiful. Brakes work fine and the suspension feels good. As far as I know, everything works except the odometer. It shows 56K miles, I don't know the true mileage, on the title it's exempt. I believe the bike is all stock except the Ohlins shocks. The chrome exhaust is in great shape, no rust or dings. No dings on gas tank. No rips on seat. The tires have plenty of tread left, but are a little flat in the center, previous owner rode mostly highway. If you are a canyon rider they will wear right back to normal. The bike is nice cosmetic shape, not 100 point show bike nice, but a nice street rider you can take to bike night and have them gathering around the bike. It has some scratches/chips on the paint, nothing horrible. One stone chip in the headlight cover, looks like a bb shot, very small, headlight functions fine. I'm being upfront with you, I did some reading on the internet on the starter problem zinging, and it looks like a pretty common thing with the K bikes and a pretty difficult repair. I don't have the capability of tackling the job, so if you are mechanical/handy and can fix motorcycles yourself, I have discounted the starting price big time, so you can repair. Or just keep bump starting it if you want to. I have tried to describe this bike as well as I could and put in tons of pictures, so keep in mind it's 24 years old , has minor flaws, so expect what you see in pictures. Sold as is, with no warranty. If you are local and want to inspect it before bidding, just let me know. No whining afterwards. I have a clean, clear, Florida title in my name and will provide a bill of sale. Deposit of $250 due within 2 days through Paypal, the balance in cash within 2 weeks.
