FOR SALE 1987 BMW 535i I have a 1987 BMW 535i for sale. Chassis is rust free, and has recently undergone a mechanical rebuild. Engine was upgraded to a low mileage M30B35 straight six from a 1990 e34 BMW 535is, along with the engine harness and management. Engine was cleaned, and resealed. A light weight single mass flywheel, and new Sachs clutch kit were used when going back together. A new driveshaft, and flex disc were also added to the drive line, and a custom UUC EVO 3 Shifter and DSSR were installed to improve the Getrag 260/6 5 speed manual. Radiator, and all cooling lines were replaced, and an after market cooling fan was added. New heater core, and heater blower motor were installed at this time. Suspension was also recently upgraded. All tie rods and control arms were replaced. Urethane bushings were used where available, and the steering box mount, that commonly breaks on e28's, was upgraded with a solid weld in bushing. The car already had good condition Bilstein sport shocks, and uprated springs. The 17x8 et 10 BBS RX have new Falken 245 40 17's on them. The interior is in very good condition, with custom door panels and electric BMW sport seats. The dash has only one small crack. All of the gauges, work correctly, along with all dash buttons and functions. Kenwood CD with Ipod controls for sound. All of the windows have been serviced and received new switches. Zinnoberot paint is not perfect but is a good 7/10. A chip in a couple of places, and a lesser quality respray on the hood. It looks great with a good wash and buff though. A quick recap of most repairs and upgrades: 1.) New control arms and tie rods. 2.) Urethane control arm bushings. 3.) Upgraded solid steering rack mount bushing. 4.) Newer Bilstein Sport struts. 5.) Uprated Lowering springs. 6.) Electronic cooling fan. 7.) M30B35 engine from 1990 BMW 535is with roughly 84k miles. Engine cleaned, painted, and resealed for install. 8.) Complete engine wiring and ECU swap to E34 management. 9.) E9 Single mass flywheel. ( great reduction in weight over stock dual mass unit. 10.) New Sachs Clutch, Pressure plate, and Throw out bearing. 11.) UUC evo3 Shifter, and DSSR 12.)BBS RS wheels 17x8 et10 13.) New Z rated 40 series tires 14.) E28 M5 rear trailing arms.
