TITLE: 1966 Porsche 912 RARE COLOR CAR HAS BEEN REPAINTED WITH ORIGINAL COLOR ALONG WITH SOME PANELS THAT HAVE BEEN REPLACED. Subtitle: FREE SHIPPING NATIONWIDE! VIN: 352423 Motor Stamp: 4095979 Miles: 116,799 You are bidding on a VERY special 1966 Porsche 912. This car has lived its life on the West coast and in Vancouver Canada and for the past 3 years- in a heated garage in New Hampshire where it awaits its new home. The Exterior: Let's start with the EXTREMELY rare color of "Silbermetalic" paint code 6206. Based on research- only about 40 of these cars were made in this color- making this car very special. The rear grille looks brand new and in divine shape. The rims are the stock steel rims she was born with- including the stock wheel covers, giving her that classic Porsche look. The car comes with a set of new tires that aren't installed yet but go to the new owner. The floor boards are solid as a West Coast car should be with little to no rust anywhere. The glass looks brand new and has zero blemishes. The trim and chrome are all in amazing shape. All the seals and bumpers are in fine shape as well. The car is equipped with fog lights as well as clear headlight lens covers installed by its previous owner. Overall this is an extremely esthetically pleasing car. I couldn't think of a more classic color combination for 1966 than a silver with black interior. BONUS: this car is topped off with an upgraded Gold "Porsche" emblem. Interior: Get ready to be blown away when you open the door to sit in this beauty. It is like sitting in a time machine, the original black interior is in near flawless shape and even the smell of the leather is still there. The carpets and the seats look as they did in the 60s. Of course this unique car is equipped with a 3 gauge dash. It even has the "mat-black" dash finish to cut down on the glare. The seat belts all boast the Porsche logo and the carpet looks as good as the seats. The 5 speed gear shift knob also has the Porsche logo just as a reminder of what you are driving. Engine and Transmission: The motor she was born with was retired but has been replaced with a VERY peppy and new 1969 - 912 motor that gives her new life. The motor stamp for this motor is 4095979. This is a VERY low milage motor that has tons of power and needs nothing! The transmission is a very tight and well working 5 speed transmission that I believe it original to the car (will inspect further upon request). Car runs, drives and shifts wonderfully and will provide it's owner with an exhilarating driving experience for many miles and years to come. The few blemishes: This 48 year old piece of history has been cared for all of its life, that said- it has been driven. And through the years it had a few bumps and bruises:There are 3 flaws on the body from her years as a true driver. The hood has a mild pushed dent which looks like it will pop right back out. The driver's quarter panel has some damage that should be repaired although the car is fine for driving and finally there is some light scrapes under the passenger's door. All of these can be seen in the photos. Nothing to hide with this car as it is still a very attractive and complete driver. I chose not to repaint the car because I think it is great the way she is. But in the interest of full disclosure- take the above into consideration. In Closing: This is not a number 1 car BUT this car is a VERY unique and special one-of-a-kind piece of history. These cars (especially the 912s) have been skyrocketing in price year after year and even moreso in the past 18 months. The smart money is buying a car like this and holding onto it. Plus, try having this much fun with your with any of your other investments! Happy to take any other photos or answer any questions. Complimentary shipping to anywhere in the continental US.
