Vehicle Detail

HONDA 1977 CB750 Shane Rager Design Build Named "Rowdy" Build took 1 year and 3 months to finishVery smooth and loud I do not want to sell but first child makes for lifestyle changes... Seat is soft so can allow two riders but also easily removed by one wing-nut to allow more custom seating options. Q & A Q: what size is rear wheel and tireJan-05-14A: Hi Giallo, 130/90-17 Rear 100/90-19 FrontQ: This bike really stands out in a sea of two-wheel crap! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess? A smaller fuel tank would make the engine even more prominent. In the cover pic, the engine looks HUGE! Love this bike. Regards, DanJan-03-14A: Thanks Dan! I sent your comment over to Shane and he def got a kick out of it. Thanks for your support of the bike and his work!Q: Please describe what work has gone into the engine. How many miles are on the bike in total, and how many miles since engine work was performed?Jan-01-14A: Thanks for the question, Tony. I reached out to Shane and got this response; "The only engine work that was required was adjusting the timing chain tensioner. I used only K&N oil filters, and changed the oil three times in quick succession since the bike sat for quite a while before it was given a new lease on life. Since all of the covers were powder coated, new gaskets were used. The bike, i believe, only had about 22k miles on it. You may be able to see what the last reading was from the title…"Q: Hi, Any performance work done to the engine, big bore kit, trans, clutch, head, carbs? What type of exhaust? What type of wheels? What speed rating on the tires? ThanksJan-01-14A: Thanks for the Q Chase. I contacted Shane for the answer; "The engine is completely stock, uses no oil, and in excellent mechanical shape. The old CB750's were built like anvils, they are almost impossible to hurt. The carbs are from a CB750SS and re-jetted. The exhaust is open, four into two. Essentially cut down stock pipes. As for the tires, I can't remember the speed rating, but it's a '77 so it's not going to be running 150mph."Q: Could you tell me what kind of seat that is. What brand is it?Jan-01-14A: The seat is completely custom made by Designer & Builder Shane Rager, from the seat pan up. Made to fit between the frame rails, then covered with black leather grain vinyl.Q: So to get this straight, the helmet is getting thrown in for free.. What is the color??Dec-29-13A: Yes, the helmet w/ bag, jacket, two shields (tinted black & clear) and riding gloves are included with the bike at no additional cost.
