Vehicle Detail
I bought this car a few years ago in boxes. It is now very drivable and it is a blast! My knees gave out and I will not be able to finish the restoration. The interior is a blank canvas. Most of the wiring is working but could use some more work. The body is painted in Gold Leaf colors. It was a show quality paint job twenty years ago. But time and storage mishaps have caused some damage. A few scratches. Some bubbles on the rear deck lid. A small hole in the passenger side sill where it was strapped down for transportation. But the good news is that there are NO stress cracks. It looks awesome from 10 feet. The frame was completely restored and has NO rust. Engine was professionally rebuilt with go fast goodies such as Carrillo Racing Rods and a widened oil sump. Header exhaust system. Rebuilt carbs with electric fuel pump. The water pump weeps. I have not hooked up the choke or balanced the carbs. Radiator rodded and pressure tested. The hole for the otter switch was sealed so no leaks. Brand new aluminum gas tanks. Windshield removed and replaced with Urethane so no leaks. Nissan F10 Master Cylinder with all new or refreshed brake parts. Freshened transmission. The right side seal leaks a little. New U joints. New tires with restored wheels (five). New adjustable coil over shocks. Door hinges have NO rust. Lots of spare parts still in boxes so shipping is up to the buyer. I want the buyer to be thrilled with the car so feel free to ask questions. The restoration started over twenty years ago. I have only had it three years. Because it has been off the road and in climate controlled storage it is in much better shape than the average Europa. It is still the original galls windshield just better mounted than factory. Nissan F10 Master Cylinder with all new or refreshed brake parts. Freshened transmission. The right side seal leaks a little. New U joints. New tires with restored wheels (five). New adjustable coil over shocks. Door hinges have NO rust. Item revised description 24 JAN 2014 Lots of questions on the car Clear New Mexico Title in my name. Car was registered but I let it run out since I was not driving it, easy to renew. I do not believe all the extra parts will all fit inside the car without damage. Perhaps they could be shipped in boxes. I will work with buyer on getting them shipped. Cost is responsibility of buyer. I might be missing a few parts from having the complete car. But it is very close to complete. Probably 99 percent or better. I might only have enough seat rails for one seat. Missing a couple electrical switches, not sure if I have the exterior badges for side sail panels. Not sure if I have all the metal rods that connect interior door handle to door latch. They can be made out of any bar stock such as welding rod. I am not good at E Bay links so. Remove the "DOT" and blank spaces and replace with "." Lots more pics at: https://imageshack DOT com/a/coAq/1 Car was dirty when I took most of these. Pics from when I bought the car at: http://lotus-europa2 DOT com/picview.asp?page=3381r Shows the parts that will come with the car. Most have been installed. The Chrome lower links, bumpers and the used center console are no longer with the car. The new center console is with the car, as well as the burlwood dash. The white stuff on the front of the Driver's Door is masking tape. No carpet kit. No headliner. Five tires and rims. Shocks are AVO brand and fully adjustable Clutch is used but almost new condition. New Throw Out Bearing. New rubber door seals. New Rear window seal. New High Torque Starter Car has less than a hundred miles on it since being returned to the road.
