Vehicle Detail
1961 Pontiac Catalina Bubble TopModel 2337 Sport htp cpe Southwestern Dry Colorado Car! RARE car, and RARE desirable metallic light red (Dawn Mist) exterior and red interior. The odometer reads 36,608. I cannot absolutely guarantee that is the original miles, BUT, by evident wear, and as long as the car was stored, it wouldn’t surprise me. It certainly doesn’t look like a 136,608 mile car to me! Previous owner took trim off, sanded it to repaint, then stopped. The removed trim is in the trunk as evident in the trunk picture. The white paint on car was a very cheap quick spray with no evidence of any body work, repair or filler. Any small dents or isolated rust is clearly visible. Looking at this car with plans to restore is no different than looking at an original paint, unmolested car; what you see is what you get! Look the pictures over, and then contact me if additional info is needed. We have never received negative feedback, and want to keep it that way! Contact through eBay messaging first, then provide email and/or phone number if you desire. I text, but may not get the message for several days if traveling. If I do not respond to a text in a timely manner, please leave a voice mail. Ken at 970-980-3239. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------THE GOOD-Red on Red Color-How many “Muscle” cars have you seen that are this unmolested, unmodified, or uncustomized? Exterior, Interior, and Motor. -Clear Title -Rock Solid Car. Surface rust on bottom is “sandblasted” fromdriving on gravel, I would venture to say from where this car came from it was never driving on a salted road!- Has all the potential to be a “high dollar” restored Classic, or unique Custom-When I bought the car a number years ago it ran and drove. I have had it in dry storage. The motor easily turns over, but I really didn’t try and start it doing it properly (draining gas, changing oil, etc.). Personally, I would rather get a engine that hasn’t been monkeyed with rather than something that was “started” to say it “runs” just for the purpose of selling. The BAD AND THE UGLY:-A couple isolated rust spots clearly visible in pictures. It is from a rural area and has been on dirt and gravel roads, so even though it is a “high desert” climate, dirt can accumulate in a couple areas and attract any moisture that is out there.-Sure it is not a 4 speed, tri-power, bucket seat car (but if it was, I wouldn’t be selling it!), but if you have that car and it is a rust bucket, this is the donor car for you!-Can’t think of anything else bad or ugly, that is why I kept it for so long!------------------------------------------------------------------------------ PROJECT CAR SHIPPING POLICY:Assistance available with coordinating shipping.
