Vehicle Detail
I've owned this '73 CB750 since 1976. It is in very good condition, it has been well maintained, always been garaged, and was last registered in 2003. Last week I installed a new battery. It started right up, with no smoke or rattles, and a nice smooth idle. It runs, shifts and rides like a champ, but the left fork leg is a bit damp and may need new fork seals. Specifics: -Yoshimura 812kit with mild cam -Action Fours header w/supertrap muffler. -Lockhart Oil Cooler -Electronic ignition (no points to replace/adjust) -Front/rear wheel bearings and chain/sprockets replaced ~2k miles ago -Boge Mulholland shocks -Dual drilled Front rotors -Tapered head bearings -Upgraded swingarm bushings -New battery (1 week old) -Windjammer fairing mount. (would remove it, but the Lockhart oil cooler is mounted to it.) -Bar end mirrors -New seat cover Please ask questions before bidding. More photos are available upon request. Buyer to arrange for shipping. Prefer cash, wire transfer or bank check. Happy Bidding! On Jan-13-14 at 22:02:23 PST, seller added the following information: Additional information: As far as service is concerned, this bike has led a steady diet of 20-50GTX w/filter every 1.5k miles and valve adjustment every 3k. Pistons were installed at approx 12k on the odometer, and the valves freshened up the same time. -The air cleaner box was modified (ie hole cut) to allow more air in, and has a K&N air filter. I have another air cleaner box, so it can be put back to stock, if you like. I also have individual K&N filter pods, but those are even harder to jet correctly. The low speed circuit needs sorting out, as the idle is a little rough, but the engine pulls very strong. I've never had to add oil between changes. -Coils were replaced with that of a later model 750 -Clutch is stock, other than Barnett springs. -I've only ridden the bike 5 miles since I pulled it out of the garage last week, so it has pretty much been sitting for the past 20 years, under a sheet. I confirmed that the left front fork is leaking, and is getting on the left caliper/disk. There also appears to be some seepage at the tach cable on the valve cover. There might be other things that may crop up, yet undiscovered, but I took the best care of this bike that I could, and never thrashed it. I think it is in pretty decent shape for a bike it's age.
