I am the second owner; I know the former BMW dealer in Fairbanks who sold the bike and oversaw the deal with the original owner. I purchased the bike in 2009 with 2310 miles in Fairbanks, Alaska. The previous owner stored the bike in an aircraft hanger and rode the bike every summer for 100-150 miles. I used the bike in Alaska until I moved to Montana in late 2011. It has been used to ride most of the dirt roads in Alaska and is not a highly polished show bike. It has never been in an accident, but has twice decided to take a rest while navigating thru loose dirt. I have done all maintenance myself. Filter and fluid changes have all been done as prescribed. Transmission was pulled and splines lubed about 1000 miles ago. I replaced weeping push rod tube rubbers on the left side and have the rubbers for the right side; the weeping has never gotten to the point that I needed to install them. Additions: Jesse Bags; Pelican Case as a top box; peg lowering kit, foot splash protectors; center stand bash plate; new alcohol reistant fuel lines; Parabellum wind screen (I have the stock screen); Hyper Pro progressive front fork springs. The bike has had very little ethanol used. Alaska does not use ethanol and there are places to buy ethanol free fuel in my area of Montana. The hand warmers do not work because of a pinched wire in the right side handgrip. Comes with Owners Manual, original unused tool kit, cover and battery charger that came with the bike. Has Tourance tires with less than 1000 miles on them. Also have used TKC80s and Kendas.
