Vehicle Detail
I bought this bike last year. I had just bought a brand new house and since I never had time to ride it. I love this bike but I need the money for more house projects :-( Here's the text form the previous owner: I bought this bike last year from the original owner. He owned it for 23 years. He bought it new in 1989 locally from Honda of Tulsa. After purchasing, he sent cylinder to Pro Circuit to be ported and polished. He rode it off and on over the years and then parked it several years ago. Just before parking bike, he had Honda of Tulsa bore it 1st over and install a Wiseco piston. He took very good care of bike. Bike is mostly original. The original owner did not paint the frame or motor and neither have I. Plastic has some light scuffs. Radiators are straight. No oil or coolant leaks. When I bought the bike it had original owners’ manual, airbox cover, Pro Circuit Port and Polish, Pro Circuit Works Pipe, original silencer, original handlebars (I think), master cylinder guard, original plastic, original graphics. I made the following changes to the bike: Since bike had sat so long, I had Honda of Tulsa rebuild front forks and rear shock (replaced, seals, oil, gas, etc), Pro Billet kickstand, sent head in to Eric Gorr and he installed a Compression Release Valve, replaced carburetor gaskets(3 ea), Pro Circuit Pipe (original Pro Circuit Pipe from ’89 was an unpainted Works pipe, it was tarnished and had some dings), front # plate (original had cracked where it loops over the crossbar). Rear wheel has two dings on left side as shown in the picture. 90% of my riding is cross country in tight woods. For me, this bike is a little much to control in the tight stuff. It builds speed too quickly and 1st gear is too tall at times. The porting has made the power much more manageable than stock but it’s still 500cc’s in the woods. However, when the trail opens up, the bike is awesome. Went riding yesterday and the bike ran great. Bike starts, stops, shifts, idles, and performs as it should. Engine has great compression and is quiet. ALL PICTURES WERE TAKEN TODAY. Owners Manual is included. Buyer is responsible for shipping.
