Vehicle Detail

I have owned my Delorean for a couple years now and have had tons of fun with it. My wife has been a tremendously good sport in allowing me to own my dream car, but we are now talking about starting a family so that means the D's days are now numbered in my garage! I was planning to sell in the spring, but thought I would throw it online now since the cold Cleveland winter will just keep this stainless beauty cooped up anyways! This particular Delorean has been featured in a number of award-winning short films and video shoots, and always manages to turn heads no matter where you drive it. Be prepared to have people ask you "does it come with a flux capacitor??" at least 3,467 times a day, I'm not kidding. I have a 1981 5-spd with just 17,829 on the odometer. The car is in great shape, it runs and drives just fine. Engine starts up and idles smoothly, tranny shifts well and doesn't slip. The body is in very good condition, all of the panels are unblemished aside from a small ding in the rear passenger wheel well. The front fascia has slightly raised eyebrows but that's becoming more and more common with these cars. The doors open all the way up without any droopiness! Interior is solid, seats have no holes or tears. The dashboard has some cracks but I have a grey dashmat on top of it. Here is what I have done with the car since purchasing it: -New trailing arm bolts -Updated AC system (blows cold R134a) -Replaced the entire fuse/relay system -New oil pressure sending unit -New otterstat -Replaced the old rubber cooling hoses -New front tie rod ends -Replaced fuel pump lines -Installed new shift linkage bushings -Newer belts -Various other odds & ends There are a couple things that keep this from being a perfect car, which I will list below for you. No point in not telling the truth, I feel like a potential buyer should know everything about the condition of the car before deciding to bid/purchase. -The aforementioned panel ding and raised fascia eyebrows -Cracks on dashboard -Squeaky driver side lower control arm/anti-roll bar bushing. -Small oil drip, traced to driver side valve cover. Might have 2-3 drops after a 20 minute drive, but that's about it. -Power windows are currently not working, but I have purchased new switches and a passenger side window motor and will include them with the car. The drivers side motor works but still needs to be rewired. So there you have it! I have a bunch of other goodies to include with the car, including the original service manual with all of the part listings and diagrams. Very helpful! I also have a DMC car cover for winter storage, custom-cut stainless steel dashboard cover (shiny!), several small extra parts, fuses, and a few other things. Flux capacitor NOT included however. Good luck and happy bidding!
