This 2001 Chevrolet express 1500 is perfect for a family commuting vehicle. Fully loading this van will not be an issue with acceleration. This van is actually very luxurious and comfortable. The 1500 is no lacking in room in anyway. With the perfect entertainment, this is ideal for children and long commutes. INTERIOR: This light interior helps create the open feeling. The monitors turn on and display is good. The system is installed to a vhs system; it will be easy to convert to DVD. The heat works great as it should. The stereo sounds excellent as you can see the all of the high and mid-range speakers. The leather seats are in good shape, a good leather treatment will bring back the life in them. The carpet in some areas need shampooed also. This van can be 100% again with a little patience. There is a whole cut in the rear door to access the second door latch, the door will open and close. EXTERIOR: The paint condition in generally in good shape. There are a few minor scratches or scuffs but nothing needs attention. The tires are in good shape and will not need replacing anytime soon. The top coat is in great condition also. There is a small chip in the windshield; this can be repaired by professionals for cheap most of the time under 100 dollars. MOTOR/HANDING: When I drove this van for about 20 minutes I realized that the vehicle is easy to drive and maneuver. The acceleration was responsive and did not feel sluggish. The brakes stopped the van just fine and felt normal. The suspension was quiet and absorbent of the road noises. The turning radius was actually impressive and very smooth. This feels like a reliable machine and the motor is still proving strong! These vehicles were designed to run 250k miles with no issues and there is plenty of room for your needs.
