Vehicle Detail
*** Please have your finances in order before making a decision to buy this wagon. *** Up for sale is this California survivor 1959 Chevrolet Nomad wagon. This wagon was factory equipped with a 348 big block engine, turboglide automatic (converted to powerglide for reliability), power steering, power brakes, padded dash, power rear window, and ez-eye glass. This wagon was built at the Los Angeles, CA General Motors plant and still wears it's original CA one piece front and rear bumpers along with an original accessory front grill guard. This wagon runs and drives well and has been a very reliable car through it's years of ownership. Some of the engine/drivetrain work performed over my years of ownership are: Engine removed and coolant system and block flushed, new freeze plugs, rebuilt heads, new water pump, stock radiator rebuilt and upgraded to 3 core system, factory tri power manifold added with rebuilt carbs, tune up, new exhaust, belts, hoses, and more. The transmission shifts as it should and was upgraded to an aluminum powerglide transmission. Brakes are all new with the following added: rebuilt factory brake booster, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shoes, flex lines, and rear drums. Interior was redone at one point in the original factory style: seats, door panels, headliner, and carpet along with the seats being recovered with clear plastic as they did years ago. Tires are B.F. Goodrich 8.00x14 white walls and have less than 1000 miles since installed. Other accessories include: spinner hubcaps, day/night mirror, exhaust ports, rocker moldings, door edge guards, finger/scratch guards, grill guard, and roof rack. Most of the Highland Green paint is original with some blend and touch up areas done through the years. All of the Snowcrest White paint was redone at one point in it's life. Floor pans have been replaced at one point in time with original style units. One key works ignition and locks, and one key works the rear power window. Rear power window is fully functional and works with key and underdash original switch. Most of the glass is in good condition, with the exception of a few pieces of flat glass having some cracks. All windows and vent wings work as they should. Most of the electrical works as it should: headlights (original T-3's), tail lights, wipers, gauges, dash lights, turn signals, etc. Overall this is a nice survivor wagon with some great options. Odometer reads around 37k miles and has stopped working, so the original mileage is unknown. I have enjoyed this wagon for years and have received many compliments and smiles over thousands of miles of driving. It is time to pass it on to a new owner that hopefully will enjoy and appreciate it as much as I have. Clear California title included with the sale. *** License plates and frames are not included in the sale ... License plates are YOM and are not original to the wagon. *** Please email through Ebay or call with any questions (831) 247-9199 Paypal deposit of $500 due immediately.
