***NO RESERVE*** HI, here is the story of this 66 Continental. The person I got it from it owed me money and gave me the car instead. He did not really want to get rid of it because it was his father’s car and said he had a lot of sentimental value to him. I mention this because I don't know for sure, but the car may have been in one family since new or near new. (The gentleman I got it from was in his mid 60's) This car is very complete and would be a great parts car, easily fixed up into a weekend driver, or driver resale or a good candidate for a full restore. It just depends on how deep you want to go. I gave the car a good look over and got it started but did not get to deep into it. I will give you the best description that I can based on what I know and if you need any specific info or photo’s, please let me know and I will try and get the info or photo’s that you require. Also I will assist in getting the car onto a transport if needed. MECANICAL -- The car has been sitting at a self storage facility for at least the last five years. I hooked up a good battery, put 4 gallons of gas in the tank, and after a few minutes of priming the carb the car ran and idled on its own. It had a bad miss, but had no knocks and sounded great, power steering worked, Put the car in gear and pulled forward about 10 feet and reverse for the same 10 feet to re-park it. I would have tried to drive it further but the brakes are out in it. I did not try to bleed them. I was real happy the engine sounded great and shifted onto gear. It does have new duel exhaust from the manifolds back but does have an exhaust leak at the manifold. EXTERIOR -- The car was originally butternut yellow then at one point was painted black and then finally painted burgundy. The car was undercoated at one time and appears that the floors are very solid and rust free. I did see a small rust hole in the bottom of the trunk but nothing major. I can send photos if you would like. The front fenders have some thick putty in them. The rear quarters have rust in the usual places. I will try and get as many photos as e-bay will let me but I will get more photos upon request. I do not have keys for the trunk so I do not know what is in it. I thought about popping the lock but did not want to damage the lock hole. INTERIOR -- The black Interior looks original and very complete. It would need a new head liner and the rear package tray looks bad. The dash has one crack in it. The seats are in fair to good condition same with the door panels. The driver’s door does need a new armrest piece but I have the old one with the power window switches in it. The rear driver side window is broken but the chrome around the window is intact and in good shape.
