RELISTING DUE TO FALSE BIDDER Up for auction we have a 1979 IH Scout II. The vehicle has a clear title, and the Scout runs and drives, OK. The Scout has typical rust in the quarters, floor, cab mounts under cowl, etc. Paint is badly faded Red color. The 304 V8 engine runs good and strong, but hesitates, if its just at idle. I think it needs a tune up/ and or a carb. cleaning. The transmission and 4x4 seem to work good. When driving it, excess steering play is noticed. The steering play, under cowl cab mounts, and rear brakes, are probably the bulk of what it would take to pass inspection. Rockers were repaired, and never finished off. Oil pressure for engine looks good, frame and under carriage looks good, it may have a small lift kit installed. Has a tow hitch on it. Interior is OK, could use carpet,uphulstery,etc. Dash itself is nice, has a tilt steering column, IH sport wheel, plaid russet seats.The tailgate looks solid, rear floor area is rusted, the tires are older, but a lot of tread, look like old factory style tires and wheels.
