Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 2 Owner 1975 Triumph TR6 having been with the same owner the last 30 years. Carmine Red over Tan leather interior, matching the VIN plate with paint code 82 and trim code 74 (see photo) and exactly as would be documented on the official British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate. This is a good original, low mileage, absolutely rust free TR6 that is ready to be shown or driven. This particular TR6 is in good overall condition as can be seen by the photos. It is not a fresh restoration but an original car that has been driven, maintained and even upgraded along the way. The exterior of the car (paint, chrome and glass) are all in good condition. The Paint itself is essentially flawless being the result of a very high quality bare metal respray many years ago. It shines like new with nary a blemish to be found. The car was originally out of Arizona so has been and remains absolutely rust free. Comes as well with all of the original weather equipment (black convertible top, black tonneau cover and beige convertible top boot). Both the tonneau cover and the convertible top boot are the factory originals with the BW(E) and FMVSS 307 manufacturer stamps on the back. All are in good condition with no rips or tears in the vinyl and the soft top windows are still clear and presentable (see photos). The interior of the car (seats, cockpit, carpet, door panels and dash) are also in very good condition. The wood dash and vinyl trim parts both show some light cracking but contribute to a nice overall interior patina. Even comes with the period correct AM/FM radio. Mechanically the car runs and drives well. Has hardly been driven for years, but starts easily due to the Allison coil and electronic ignition and sounds great due to the dual sport exhaust. Clutch, Transmission and Brakes are all working exactly as they should so you can be confident knowing that it is ready for the road. All 5 painted steel wheels and trim rings are in good condition while riding on Yokohama size 195/75/15 all season radials with plenty of tread. The spare itself still retains the Michelin redline (see photo). The trunk, trunk carpet and trim are all in perfect condition. Included as well are a car cover, brand new set of Triumph logo floor mats and miscellaneous Triumph catalogues. Please ask all questions prior to bidding and do not bid unless you intend to buy. Vehicle is being sold as is where is with no warranties either expressed or implied. A $2,000 non-refundable purchase deposit is due within 2 days of the close of the auction.
